MLB DFS Lineup Picks and Sleepers - DraftKings Advice for 6/12/15

As always, my goal with this article is to help you identify viable options to insert into your DraftKings lineups, based on pricing and matchups data. He's a compilation of players I like when choosing a lineup for Friday, June 5th.

Editor's Note: If you play on DraftKings, you should check out our Partner FanDuel - they're hosting a one-day Fantasy Baseball league tonight. It's just $5 to enter and pays out $115,000 in cash prizes, including 10K to 1st place! Sign up Now and we'll give you free access to RotoBaller's Premium DFS Lineup Picks and Tools (a $29.99 value). You'll also receive a 100% bonus on your first FanDuel deposit.

Offenses to Target for DraftKings Stacking

San Francisco Giants Table Setters vs Chase Anderson

The San Francisco Giants are hitting extremely well and now hold the second best offense in the league against right-handed pitching as a team with a wRC+ of 114. The best value guys from this relatively low-key lineup are from the top of the order. Guys like Nori Aoki and Joe Panik have really done well for the Giants by getting on base and scoring runs. These guys are excellent to target due to their low price tag and consistent production. Chase Anderson has been extremely hittable as of late and has given up at least 8 hits in all of his last three starts.

Texas Rangers RHB vs Tommy Milone

The Rangers offense isn’t what it used to be, but it can still mash against mediocre pitchers, especially at home. The Rangers right-handed batters post a top ten offense against left handed pitching with a wRC+ of 121. This bodes well for the Rangers as they face off against Tommy Milone, who holds a 4.55 ERA with a 1.55 WHIP. His strikeout rate of just 4.34 K per 9 innings means the offense should get plenty of chances to make contact and get on base. Look out for guys like Elvis Andrus and Delino Deshields as sleeper picks for Friday.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for DraftKings

Jordan Zimmerman – SP – Nationals ($8100)

Jordan Zimmerman struggled his last time out but has been extremely consistent throughout May. He has a very nice matchup against the Milwaukee Brewers. Zimmerman’s low strikeout rate has lowered his price tag on DraftKings, but this matchup should be his to dominate. The Milwaukee Brewers hold the second worst offense in the league against right-handed pitching with a wRC+ of 80. Few guys in the lineup are hitting the ball well at all right now, so expect Zimmerman to have a nice outing on Friday.

Hector Santiago – SP – Angels ($7900)

Hector Santiago has been a pleasant surprise for the Angels, and his good performance this year should continue as he faces the Oakland Athletics. The A’s have a brilliant offense against right-handed pitching but have been abysmal this year against left handed pitching. The A’s hold a bottom five offense against left-handed pitching with a wRC+ of 81. Key power bats like Josh Reddick simply can’t hit left-handed pitching, so Santiago should have a good time on Friday. On the year, Santiago holds a 2.55 ERA with a 1.16 WHIP.

DFS Infielders to Consider for DraftKings

Brian McCann – C – Yankees ($4100)

The catcher position has been barren as of late, and Brian McCann has been one of the few bright spots. McCann holds a prime position in the Yankees offense and is always in an excellent position to drive in runs. He has a nice matchup against opposing pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez, whom McCann has hit pretty well against in his career. McCann is 10 for 34 with a home run against Jimenez and also holds a .285 average against right handed pitching this year. Eight of his nine home runs this year have also come against right-handed pitching.

Adam LaRoche – 1B – White Sox ($3500)

Adam LaRoche looks like an excellent bargain pick for Friday’s slate of games. LaRoche has been playing very well as of late and holds a .321 average with 4 home runs since the end of May. LaRoche will match up against a Tampa Bay Rays pitcher who has yet to be announced. LaRoche would be a very nice pick against right-handed pitching, as all eight of his home runs this year have come off righties.

Martin Prado – 2B – Marlins ($3800)

Martin Prado is another reach into the bargain bin for Friday. Prado has been scoring lots of runs as of late because the big bats behind him have really been heating up. As long as Prado manages to get on base against opposing pitcher Kyle Kendrick, he should be able to provide runs scored along his base hits. Prado is a lifetime 11 for 29 with a home run against Kendrick.

Josh Donaldson – 3B – Blue Jays ($5200)

Josh Donaldson has emerged as a MVP candidate for the Blue Jays this year and continues to hit well as of late. Donaldson goes up against the mediocre Joe Kelly on Friday. Kelly holds a 5.40 ERA with a 1.42 WHIP. Donaldson, on the other hand, is 8 for his last 18 with 2 home runs.

Elvis Andrus – SS – Rangers ($4000)

As mentioned earlier, Elvis Andrus looks to be a nice pick against Tommy Milone. Andrus has hit Milone well in his career, going 9 for 24. Andrus has admittedly been disappointing this year and has lost his role near the top of the lineup. However, his new placement will hopefully put him in more opportunities to drive in runs. He should have plenty of opportunities on Friday against the contact pitcher.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for DraftKings

Giancarlo Stanton – OF – Marlins ($5700)

Giancarlo Stanton is playing phenomenally. Stanton has strung together the incredible power numbers we know he has with a nice consistency to go along with the power. He has four home runs in his last four games and is 8 for 16 during that span. Look for Stanton to keep the good times going against opposing pitcher Kyle Kendrick, who holds a 6.16 ERA with a 1.41 WHIP on the year.

Adam Jones – OF – Orioles ($4500)

Adam Jones’s price tag actually looks like a bargain compared to the way he’s been playing. Jones makes for an incredible pick for your secondary outfield slot for Friday’s slate of games. In the past week, Jones has hit .375 with 3 home runs, and he is matched up against opposing pitching Michael Pineda, whom Jones has some success off of. Jones has gotten hot again after a mediocre May and now holds a .306 average with 9 home runs and 31 RBI.

AJ Pollock – OF – Diamondbacks ($3900)

It is amazing that the hottest outfielder in baseball still comes at a price associated with a tertiary outfield pick on DraftKings. Pollock provides incredible value on Friday and should be used as long as he continues his great hitting. Pollock has actually hit better on the road than at home this year and is matched up against opposing pitcher Madison Bumgarner on Friday. Despite his ace status, Bumgarner has given up at least three runs in all of his last three starts.
