Daily Fantasy Football Picks and Advice: Week 9 NFL DFS DraftKings Lineups and Sleepers

Welcome to the Week 9 edition of Daily Fantasy Football DraftKings targets. An introduction is not really all that necessary, as the title of this DFS article pretty much sums up what is going to be discussed.

It's important to identify players with good matchups, but we also want to look at their DraftKings prices so we can hopefully find low-cost / high-production players for your lineups.

I will be providing one top DFS play and one DFS value play at each position for Week 9 NFL DraftKings action. Let's get down to it.

Editor's Note: Find sleeper picks, undervalued ADPs, and draft targets to help you dominate your fantasy football drafts. Try our free who to draft tool for personalized recommendations.

DraftKings DFS Quarterbacks for Week 9

Tom Brady (vs WAS, $8,500)

Tom Brady is the best QB in the league, and he is also the best QB on the board this week for daily fantasy sports purposes. The Washington Redskins are down to grocery store clerks at the CB position and Brady is going to eat them alive. On the season, he has a 115.8 QB rating, 2,410 passing yards, 20 touchdowns, and only one interception. His touchdowns could sail north of 25 and his interceptions are going to stay south of two this week against the Redskins. While Gronkowski is matchup proof, Washington defends the TE position much better than they do the WR position, so pair Brady with one of his WR options this week.

Ben Roethlisberger (vs OAK, $6,600)

Ben Roethlisberger did not look great in his first game back from injury last week, but that is to be expected. He threw the ball 45 times and completed 28 passes for 262 yards and a touchdown. However, he threw three interceptions. He is going to get better this week, and without LeVeon Bell, he is going to be throwing the ball even more. On the season, he has 1,174 passing yards, five touchdowns, and five interceptions. These numbers are obviously skewed by his injury, so do not pay too much attention to them. The Raiders do not have that great of a pass defense and Big Ben should be back to normal this week.

DraftKings DFS Running Backs for Week 9

Devonta Freeman (at SF, $8,000)

Devonta Freeman is the best RB on the board this week, which should be rather obvious by now. Generally, I skip over Freeman because he is such an obvious play, but this week he needs to be mentioned because he is facing off against the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers rush defense has been horrible and they are allowing 123.8 rushing yards per game so far this season. Freeman is going to tear them up on the ground. The Falcons are going to be winning this game early, which will lead to more carries for Freeman. Please, do not avoid him this week.

Todd Gurley (at MIN, $6,900)

Speaking of obvious plays at the RB position, Todd Gurley is one of the best RBs in the league right now. This week he gets a tough matchup against the Minnesota Vikings, but he is all but matchup proof of recent. In his last four games, he has 146, 159, 128, and 133 rushing yards to go along with three touchdowns. He also catches a couple of balls out of the backfield every week. DraftKings still has yet to raise his price tag beyond $7,000, so continue to use him until they do that. He is going to hit value, and you do not want to be watching your team drop in the standings because you neglected to play such an obvious player this week.

DraftKings DFS Wide Receivers for Week 9

Odell Beckham Jr. (at TB, $8,800)

Odell Beckham Jr. absolutely exploded last week against the New Orleans Saints. He caught eight balls for 130 yards and three touchdowns. This equals 42 fantasy points. The New York Giants may finally be realizing that they have to throw Beckham Jr. the ball a lot more often if they want to win games. This week Eli Manning and the Giants will take on the Tampa Bay Bucs, who do not have one of the better pass defenses in the league. In fact, Kirk Cousins tore them apart (in the second half of the game) Week 7. Eli Manning should be able to do the same thing, if he throws the ball to Beckham Jr. early and often. I would expect over 100 yards and a touchdown from OBJ this week.

Stefon Diggs (vs STL, $5,300)

It is getting to the point where Stefon Diggs can no longer be ignored. He is consistently crushing value right now and he needs to find his way into your DFS lineups. In four games so far this season, Diggs has 25 receptions for 419 yards and two touchdowns. Teddy Bridgewater is absolutely loving this kid and the chemistry is likely to continue for the rest of the season. It really does not matter how good the St. Louis Rams pass defense is, Stefon Diggs is going to find a way to get around. Do not avoid him this week.

DraftKings DFS Tight Ends for Week 9

Greg Olsen (vs GB, $6,500)

Greg Olsen is one of the best tournament TEs in the league. He does not score on a consistent basis, but when he does, he explodes. This week he faces off against the Green Bay Packers, who really struggle to cover the TE position. Olsen has shown his ability to go over 100 yards and score a touchdown or two against the Seattle Seahawks and the New Orleans Saints so far this season. The Packers will likely not be able to defend Olsen, and Cam Newton will be looking his way a lot this week.

Jordan Reed (at NE, $4,500)

Jordan Reed is going to be force fed the ball this week against the New England Patriots. The Patriots should have their way with the Redskins, but that doesn't mean Washington will lay down without a fight. They are going to throw the ball a lot more often than they usually do, especially with the Patriots suffocating rush defense. The best "WR" on the team is Reed and he will get a ton of targets. A lot of those targets will come in the red zone as well, so he also has the ability to score multiple touchdowns. He is my favorite TE play this week by far.
