Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (9/23/17): MLB DFS Advice for FanDuel and DraftKings

This Saturday has a full slate of games, so it's time to build some lineups. With several different contests being offered across FanDuel and DraftKings, you'll have lots of different lineup options. For our purposes, the following picks have been made for contests running all day.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 9/23/17. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @TroyKlauder.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider

Danny Duffy - vs CHW (DK - $6,100, FD - $7,900)

Royals starter Danny Duffy comes at an outstanding value on Saturday. His price is nowhere as high as it should be for a guy with a 3.46 FIP (which includes a 22.1% K-rate and 6.4% walk-rate.) Against any opponent he would be a steal, but against the White Sox, it's even more dramatic. The White Sox .314 wOBA puts them at 22nd in the league, ranking them as a bottom-tier lineup. Duffy can be considered in both GPP and cash formats.

Hyun-Jin Ryu - vs SF (DK - $8,100, FD - $8,000)

Ryu has a fantastic matchup as he takes on the Giants, who are ranked dead last in wOBA with their .295 mark. He's got a 3.48 ERA in the last month, which is consistent with his full-season 3.46. He's a good investment in cash formats, as his floor is high for this start, and his price leaves you with room to spend on bats.

DFS Infielders to Consider

Salvador Perez - C, at CHW (DK - $3,800, FD - $3,200)

Perez is a very attractive play against White Sox starter Dylan Covey, who has an astonishingly bad 8.18 ERA in 58 1/3 innings this year. With Covey's 2.78 HR/9, Perez can easily add to his total of 26 homers.

Lucas Duda - 1B, at BAL (DK - $3,500, FD - $2,800)

Even if his price tag doesn't say it, Duda is an elite play at first base on Saturday. Duda has 29 homers in only 120 games, so he's a legit power threat. He's in Baltimore, one of the best offensive environments in baseball, against Jeremy Hellickson, who has a 1.94 HR/9 and a 5.47 ERA. There's too much upside to leave him out of your lineup.

Neil Walker - 2B, vs CHC (DK - $3,600, FD - $3,100)

Since joining the Brewers, Walker has an .860 OPS, and he's at a great hitter's park in Milwaukee. Against righties, Walker bats second in a loaded Brewers lineup, which puts him in a position to score lots of runs. He continues to be an overlooked DFS asset.

Manny Machado - 3B, vs TB (DK - $4,800, FD - $3,500)

As far as top-tier bats go, Machado is one of the best you can pick on Saturday. His price on FanDuel is incredibly low for his talent level. Whenever he's at home in the aforementioned Camden Yards, Machado is worth a look.

Freddy Galvis - SS, at ATL (DK - $3,300, FD - $2,800)

Galvis is a punt-priced option who can provide you with some upside. He bats second in the Phillies lineup, providing him with lots of at-bats, and while he's a poor hitter in reality, he has fantasy value attached to his modest power/speed combo. Atlanta has played out as one of the best places to hit in all of baseball this season, which could lead to a big day from Galvis. Consider him in GPP formats.

DFS Outfielders to Consider

Marcell Ozuna - OF, at ARI (DK - $3,800, FD - $3,600)

Ozuna has been destroying the ball in the last month, hitting 5 homers with a .311 average and an .865 OPS. Arizona is like a mini-Coors Field with its elevation level, so hitters thrive at Chase Field. Ozuna should easily be priced in the $4,000s on both sites, but since he's not, get him in your lineups.

Ender Inciarte - OF, vs PHI (DK - $3,500, FD - $3,400)

Henderson Alvarez is back in the bigs for the Phillies, and he got shelled in his first time out, giving up four earned runs. Leading off for the Braves, Inciarte will get a shot at multiple hits as well as some runs. You could pair him with multiple Braves for a stack, or get him in as a standalone.
