College Football DFS Rankings for Week 3 - Daily Fantasy Expert Picks (Saturday, 9/13/25)

John Mateer - College Football Rankings, CFB DFS Picks

Brad's college football DFS rankings for Week 3 on 9/13/25. His daily fantasy college football rankings for QBs, RBs, and WRs and the DFS slates on DraftKings and FanDuel.

As we move into Week 3 of the college football season, we start to see a clear workload for some players and how transfers are fitting into their new schemes. This week, we have a nice main slate featuring some good matchups and likely very few true blowouts. We can continue to look to attach high-powered offenses such as Texas, Oregon, and USC, while a few under-the-radar plays could make nice pivots in GPPs.

The slate does appear to be leaning toward paying up for quarterbacks and running backs, as there is a clear top group of studs. There are also a plethora of cheap options at the receiver position that should help with that build.

In the article below, you will find my CFB DFS lineup picks for Week 3 (Saturday, September 13) via my positional college football rankings. Use these CFB DFS rankings when building daily fantasy college football on DraftKings, and be sure to read the rest of our CFB DFS articles and CFB betting articles as well. Good luck, RotoBallers!

CFB DFS Quarterback Rankings

QB Cash Rankings Per $ QB GPP Rankings Per $
1 John Mateer 1 Eli Holstein
2 Eli Holstein 2 John Mateer
3 Arch Manning 3 Jayden Maiava
4 Jayden Maiava 4 Dante Moore
5 Behren Morton 5 Arch Manning
6 Dante Moore 6 Nicco Marchiol
7 Nicco Marchiol 7 Byrum Brown
8 Byrum Brown 8 Bryce Underwood
9 Bryce Underwood 9 Behren Morton
10 Maalik Murphy 10 Ryan Browne

In cash games, there seems to be a clear top six this week where it will be hard to go wrong. All of the top six options are in elite offenses with known roles, so any of them in cash games should be worth your pick. Dante Moore for Oregon could be ranked a bit higher; however, there is some concern about the blowout factor in that game limiting his upside.

In GPP, it is much the same story; one player I would like to highlight is Nicco Marchiol of West Virginia. With stud running back Jahiem White done for the season, it is possible that Marchiol is now the focal point of both the pass and run games this week. That should give him massive upside. Also of note, there have been some frustrations with the play-calling for Michigan. Do not be surprised if it lets Bryce Underwood open it up a bit this week for a low price.

CFB DFS Running Back Rankings

RB Cash Rankings Per $ RB GPP Rankings Per $
1 Justice Haynes 1 Clay Ash
2 CJ Baxter 2 Justice Haynes
3 Desmond Reid 3 Desmond Reid
4 Waymond Jordan 4 CJ Baxter
5 Clay Ash 5 Noah Whittington
6 Noah Whittington 6 Waymond Jordan
7 Anthony Hankerson 7 Adam Randall
8 Adam Randall 8 Cameron Dickey
9 Cameron Dickey 9 Mark Fletcher Jr.
10 DeSean Bishop 10 Jaydn Ott

Injuries and prime matchups highlight the running back room this week. With Tre Wisner likely out for Texas and Jahiem White out for West Virginia, CJ Baxter and Clay Ash should vault up the cash game rankings as their price has not caught up to their new roles yet. Also, DraftKings just refuses to bump Noah Whittington's price, so he will stay a cash game staple.

In GPP, it is a bit nerve-racking to use Ash as he is a bit of an unknown, but for the near minimum, it would be a nice salary-saving option. Down the list, it will be interesting to see if Jaydn Ott, Cameron Dickey, and Mark Fletcher Jr. fall on the right side of the backfield splits. If they can, they should all be in for big days. However, if they fail to reach the end zone, it may not be worth the risk.

CFB DFS Wide Receiver Rankings

WR Cash Rankings Per $ WR GPP Rankings Per $
1 Parker Livingstone 1 Parker Livingstone
2 Reggie Virgil 2 CJ Daniels
3 Dakorien Moore 3 Dakorien Moore
4 Makai Lemon 4 Malik Benson
5 CJ Daniels 5 Kenny Odom
6 Trent Walker 6 Reggie Virgil
7 Kenny Odom 7 Ja'Kobi Lane
8 Malik Benson 8 Trent Walker
9 Malachi Toney 9 Bryant Wesco Jr.
10 Ja'Kobi Lane 10 Malachi Toney

As mentioned above, wide receiver is the place to save salary this week. Parker Livingstone might be the most rostered player on the slate by a mile this week. Despite him being the No. 1 option for Arch Manning and having two big games, he is still near the minimum salary. The USC duo of Makai Lemon and Ja'Kobi Lane, along with the Oregon duo of Dakorien Moore and Malik Benson, also seem like easy cash game plays.

In GPPs, it may be worth looking into some underdogs who will be throwing a bit more than usual this week. Players such as Kenny Odom and Trent Walker may see some more targets if their teams are trailing. Outside of that, it is best to target high-powered offenses such as Oregon, USC, Miami, and possibly Clemson.
