CBB DFS Lineup Picks (3/24/16): Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice for FanDuel

After an exciting first two rounds of the NCAA tournament, we move onto the Sweet 16 and a few of the most anticipated match-ups of the tournament.

Without further delay, below are our favorite Daily Fantasy College Basketball picks for FanDuel DFS games for March 24, 2016.

CBB DFS Guards to Target on FanDuel

Top Plays: Grayson Allen ($9,700)

The Duke game against Oregon has a total of 157, which is 10 points more than the next highest on this slate, so getting exposure will be key.  That will start with Duke’s top scorer in Allen, who has a low of 28 fantasy points in his last 10.  In those games he has also topped 40 three different times.  It will be tough to win a GPP without the top scorer on the night!  Meanwhile, avoid Buddy Hield who has been great all year but will have a match-up with Alex Caruso and his stifling defense for Texas A&M.

Mid Tier: Wayne Selden ($6,400)

Selden continues to be the third highest priced guard on his own team despite having the ability to have games like he did on Saturday with 34.9 fantasy points.  Prior to the last game he had been in the upper teens with a few 20+ point games scattered in, however he saw 35 minutes in a must win game and gave no reason for Bill Self to not play him again.  Maryland is a solid team, but can get lost on defense which could allow Selden to have a huge game once again.  Other options in this range include Luke Kennard, Jalen Brunson and Tyler Dorsey.

Value: Anthony Collins ($4,500)

Unlike NBA DFS, in college it can be ok to take a minimum priced punt who will put up around 15 fantasy points.  Collins is without doubt the last option of the starting five for Texas A&M, however he is locked into playing over 20 minutes and often handles the ball for the Aggies.  His salary will allow you to fit in studs such as Allen and Trimble.  Collins’ teammates Jones and House certainly have more talent but also have a low floor for their asking price.

CBB DFS Forwards to Target on FanDuel

Top Play: Chris Boucher ($7,600)

The top rebounder for any team facing Duke is always in play due to their lack of interior defense.  Boucher will not wow you on the offensive end, unless it is on a huge dunk, but he is a dominant defensive player capable of double-digit rebounds along with multiple blocks and steals.  Normally it is not recommended to play an expensive college player who does not get huge minutes, but the upside for Boucher in this match-up is so high he will be hard to pass on.  Boucher’s teammates Cook and Brooks, along with Perry Ellis, are steadier options tonight but have higher price tags and lower ceilings.

Mid Tier: Robert Carter ($6,800)

Carter will face a step up in competition from the first two rounds, however having gone through the Big Ten he will feel comfortable.  In his last game against a tough Michigan State interior he posted 18 points, eight rebounds and two steals.  For under $7,000 he is a near lock to hit 20 fantasy points while playing over 30 minutes.  If you are looking for a higher ceiling, Carter’s teammate Diamond Stone has a ton of talent, but also comes with a lower floor.

Value: Jordan Bell ($5,100)

Stop us if you have heard this before, but playing your big men against Duke is a great idea!  For not much over the minimum, Bell gives you a player who has played over 26 minutes in three of the past four games while posting an average of 22.3 fantasy points in those four.  Like Boucher, Bell is a defensive expert who has 11 blocks in the last four games.  He will undoubtedly be the top player at this price point, however other players to look at in this range include DJ Hogg, Mikal Bridges and Tonye Jekiri.
