ANALYSIS: Coming off two consecutive seasons where he hit just over .280 in each, Brendan Donovan's first month of the season disappointed, slashing just .228/.311/.377. But like most hitters, Donovan began to heat up with the weather, slashing .267/.347/.389 in May and now .299/.329/.463 in June. The 27-year-old has hit safely in 14 of his last 15 games, going 20-for-59 (.339) over that stretch with a pair of doubles and three home runs.

The former seventh-round draft pick now has a .258-7-36-33-1 line on the season with a .322 wOBA and 111 wRC+. With a high contract rate (85.9%), low strikeout rate (13.5%), and low-ish BABIP (.279) compared to career rates, the left-handed hitter is capable of results comparable to his June numbers for at least the foreseeable future. Donovan is available in 60% of Yahoo leagues, and his positional versatility makes him even more appealing to prospective managers looking for some help, available to plug into the 1B, 2B, 3B, and OF slots.
