ANALYSIS: Due to an unfortunate turn of events, New York Yankees first baseman, Anthony Rizzo, is expected to miss the next eight weeks with a fractured right forearm. Cue 25-year-old rookie, Ben Rice. After mashing his way through the minors leagues with 47 home runs and a .284 batting average, Rice made his MLB debut less than a week ago as the newest Bronx Bomber.

In his five professional games, Rice has three hits, three walks, one run scored, and one RBI. His left-handed power stroke is ideal for the short, right-field porch at Yankee Stadium and he has the luxury of protection all around him in a deep New York lineup.
Currently, qualifying only as a catcher, look for Rice to gain first base eligibility in the coming week, depending on your league settings. He's a must-own in all leagues that start two catchers, 12+ team leagues, and even those 10-team leagues where owners are looking to maximize roster flexibility.
