Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race: Daily Fantasy NASCAR DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks

Chris Durell brings you DraftKings fantasy NASCAR advice, DFS lineups picks and sleepers analysis for Chris Durell brings you DraftKings fantasy NASCAR advice, DFS lineups picks and sleepers analysis for The Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race from Bristol Motor Speedway

Welcome back for another week of daily fantasy NASCAR. This week the Sprint Cup series heads to Bristol, Tennessee for the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race. Bristol Motor Speedway is a .533 mile Oval short track with 24°-30° banking making for exciting door to door racing. Track position is always key here as it is tough to pass and make it through the field without beating the crap out of your car.

With four races to go in the regular season there is a lot left to be decided. There are currently 11 drivers with wins who are locked into the Chase leaving five positions up for grabs going into Saturday night's race. Chris Buescher also has a win but sits three points out of 30th in the standings. If he were to make up those three points, which seems very likely, there would then be four spots left. Here is how the bubble breaks down of the drivers without a win:

  1. Ryan Newman(562 pts)
  2. Chase Elliott(561 pts)
  3. Austin Dillon(559 pts)
  4. Jamie McMurray(550 pts)
  5. Kyle Larson(520 pts)
  6. Trevor Bayne(512 pts)
  7. Kasey Kahne(509 pts)
  8. Ryan Blaney(502 pts)

*Assuming Chris Buescher makes it inside the Top 30 and in the Chase*

If you have any questions leading up to the race be sure to join the conversation in the chat below. I will also be sharing a link to a cheatsheet I developed and use weekly to help reduce research time. The cheatsheet includes driver salaries, track history(last 5 years), current form(last 5 races), Season Loop Data, and I also provide updated practice and qualifying rankings with a weighted system to rank all drivers. The cheatsheet and lineups will be updated throughout the weekend so be sure to follow me on Twitter and check your emails for lineup updates.  Check out the link in the chat room below and feel free to ask me any questions leading up to the race.

Daily Fantasy NASCAR: DraftKings DFS  Lineup Picks

Favorite to win - Kyle Busch ($10,600)

Get used to seeing the #18 at the top of the picks and the NASCAR leaderboard for the rest of the season. Kyle is locked in right now in his quest for back to back championships. Kyle has been involved in an accident two of the last three Bristol races and has not won here since 2011. Despite the recent form, he is tied for the lead among active drivers with five career wins and has led more laps(1703) than any other driver besides Jeff Gordon. Add to it that he was the fastest car in both practices and you have an elite play this week.

Upper Tier Value - Denny Hamlin  ($9,500)

Coming off a win at Watkins Glen, Denny Hamlin's salary took a jump but he still remains a value in the mid $9K range. Over the last 10 races at Bristol Hamlin has picked up his only career win, two Top 5's and four Top 10 finishes. He is coming in with major momentum with four straight Top 10's that was capped by that win two weeks ago. Looking at the first two practices the #11 was 2nd and 5th heading into qualifying tonight. At a price below $10K he makes a solid pick in any format.

Mid Tier Value - Kyle Larson ($8,500)

Much like Hamlin his price took a jump this week but he still makes a ton of sense this week for a couple of reasons. The first being his position in the standings. If Chris Buescher makes up the three points he needs to use his win to get in the Chase, that would push Larson on the outside of the bubble which should bring more than enough motivation for the #42 team. In five career races he has two Top 10's but has finished each of the last two races outside of 35th. He is a high groove racer and Bristol has transformed into that type of track over the years making Larson one of the favorites. He also showed he has a Top 10 or better car ranking 3rd and 7th in the first two practices.

Also Consider - Ryan Blaney ($7,800)
