Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller

5043 articles

You won't find a bigger Cubs fan than myself. Aside from my love of fantasy sports, which includes MLB, NFL and NBA, I own my own animal care business. I graduated from Columbia College in Chicago and currently reside in Chicago, IL. My love of fantasy sports started for me in the early 2000's and I have steadily been active with the same group of friends year in and year out for every league in baseball, basketball and football. I am hoping to help all RotoBaller members with any questions they may have. I consider myself an expert with minor league prospects, as it is a love of mine. I hope to give the best advice I can to the RotoBaller world!

Chicago Cubs outfielder Jason Heyward went 2-for-4 and hit a game-winning RBI single versus the Pirates on Friday. Heyward has hit a respectable .270 with 14 home runs and 38 RBI in 2019, but he doesn’t offer much outside of NL-only and deeper mixed leagues.

Yu Darvish Shines Versus Pirates

Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Yu Darvish put together one of his best starts as a Cub on Friday versus the Pittsburgh Pirates. Over six strong innings, Darvish allowed two hits, zero runs, one walk and struck out eight batters. Darvish received another no-decision, but this was a very positive outing for him. Darvish will look […]

Cole Hamels To Begin Throwing Program

Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Cole Hamels (oblique) will begin his throwing program on Friday. The lefty will throw off flat ground as he works his way back from an oblique injury. Willson Contreras Absent To Start The Second Half

Chicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras will sit to start the second half of the season on Friday. The lefty owns a 7-1 record to go along with a 1.02 ERA and 110 strikeouts over 79 1/3 innings. It’s unlikely that Gore will be promoted in 2019, but he is a […]
