Four quarterback (QB) fantasy football sleepers, value picks to target late in 2025 drafts. These are undervalued QB sleepers to draft in the later rounds.
Fantasy drafts are not always won in the early rounds. In fact, hitting big in the middle and later rounds is what determines if your team goes from a middling contender to a championship favorite. Especially at QB, identifying a late-round player with legitimate upside is a proven formula for fantasy success. That said, we're here to dive into some later-round quarterback fantasy football draft values and sleepers for the 2025 season.
There are many strong QB options available on draft day, but when is the right time to grab one versus another RB or WR? Waiting on QB until later in drafts is a viable strategy, and the players here can help you pull that off. It's essential to have at least a handful of sleeper targets at each position heading into your fantasy football drafts, no matter the format, and here are some of our favorite late-round quarterbacks for you to consider drafting this season. These players are cheap to acquire, so the risk level is low.

Cam Ward, Titans - Fantasy Football Outlook
Cam Ward was the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans. Ward was stellar in his final collegiate season with Miami, completing 67.2 percent of his passes for 4,313 yards and 39 touchdowns with seven interceptions.
Over the last three seasons, Ward has averaged over 3,700 yards and 29 touchdowns per season while averaging 7.9 yards per attempt. He will be the day-one starter for a Tennessee offense that has plenty of solid pieces but lacks a stable quarterback in 2024.

The Titans improved their offensive line through free agency this offseason (left tackle Dan Moore Jr. and right guard Kevin Zeitler) and returned Calvin Ridley, Tony Pollard, Tyjae Spears, and Chig Okonkwo to the passing attack. Tennessee also added veteran receivers (Tyler Lockett and Van Jefferson) and rookie talent (Chimere Dike and Elic Ayomanor) to upgrade the passing attack.
Ward is entering a good overall situation that was made to look worse by subpar quarterback play in 2024. However, his current ADP doesn’t build in the chance that Ward can thrive with decent weapons, a good offensive line, and a division that could force shootout conditions.
The rookie quarterback should have no problem beating his modest ADP even if he has a mediocre season. There is a chance that he is a smash if the Titans' offense can take a step with a good signal caller under center.
Bryce Young, Panthers - Fantasy Football Outlook
Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young will play in head coach Dave Canales' offense for the second season. Perhaps if rookie wideout Tetairoa McMillan, selected with the 8th overall pick, and second-year WR Xavier Legette live up to their expectations, Young can prove that his stretch of solid games to end the 2024 season wasn't a fluke. After being benched for Andy Dalton due to two dreadful games to start 2024, Young returned and put up much better numbers.
At times, the Panthers' passing offense actually looked decently functional. Still, Young didn't eclipse 300 passing yards a single time, and only threw two or more passing touchdowns four times in 14 games. The hope is that McMillan and Legette will give the team a pair of wideouts that actually stress opposing defenses.

It remains to be seen if he can break out, but it helps that the Panthers play in a very easy division, the NFC South. There is some sneaky upside here.

Michael Penix Jr., Falcons - Fantasy Football Outlook
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. started the team's final three games of 2024 following the benching of starter Kirk Cousins. Penix saw action sooner than expected due to Cousins' struggles returning from a torn Achilles tendon. The 2024 NFL Draft's eighth overall pick now enters the 2025 season as the team's unquestioned QB1. Penix did not light up the scoreboard statistically in his three starts last year, but he showcased a cannon arm and flashed upside as a passer.
He now gets the benefit of entering an entire offseason as the team's confirmed starter and will have plenty of time to forge a connection with WR1 Drake London and Atlanta's other weapons. If Penix hits the ground running, Atlanta's offense could surprise. For fantasy football purposes, Penix probably doesn't offer elite QB1 upside.
Atlanta figures to be a run-first offense behind third-year back Bijan Robinson. Penix also only had 11 rushing yards last year and was never a prolific rusher at the collegiate level. This likely relegates him to a weekly streaming option in single quarterback leagues and QB2 duties in superflex leagues. However, the weapons and potential passing volume make him an interesting later-round pick.

Jaxson Dart, Giants - Fantasy Football Outlook
The New York Giants traded back up into the first round to draft quarterback Jaxson Dart, who will likely take over the starting job by midseason this year. While the team also signed QB Russell Wilson in the offseason, his play has declined markedly since his glory years with the Seahawks, owing to his reduced mobility and unwillingness to challenge defenders in the middle of the field.
Wilson's stats are deceiving thanks to check-downs, chucking the ball deep, and taking a million sacks rather than throwing to parts of the field where he's more likely to risk an interception. That's part of the reason his touchdown to interception ratio looks so good every year, but he's not a priority free agent. The biggest problem for Wilson is that stud WR Malik Nabers excels in the intermediate areas of the field. Wilson will likely be benched for Dart, who many viewed as the best QB prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Year 1 may be tough for him, as he's a young player and the team has offensive line issues and doesn't have a great WR corps outside of Nabers. But he will probably at least be the starter by Week 9, and he has the talent to develop into a quality starter. The Giants have one of the toughest schedules in the league, so Dart might be forced to pass a ton if he's called into action.
