Top Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 13: Kendrick Bourne, Russell Gage, DeSean Jackson, Van Jefferson

Another week of NFL action is behind us and the fantasy playoffs are fast approaching. Are there any players left on the waiver wire wasteland? Let's find out. Below, you'll find some wideouts that you should be targeting on the waiver wire ahead of Week 13.

Not all options are the same. Some players may be better in PPR or deeper leagues, so it’s not a one-size-fits-all comparison. Use your best judgment when deciding which of these players is the right fit for your roster.

Van Jefferson, Los Angeles Rams

48% rostered

Even with Odell Beckham Jr. in tow, Jefferson saw nine targets this week. He only caught three of them, but those three became 93 yards and a score, so definitely not bad. He has seven or more targets in three consecutive games and gets the Jaguars next week.

Laviska Shenault Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars

42% rostered

Jacksonville continues to have a bad offense, but Shenault is looking like the primary target on that bad offense, which has to count for something...right? He was targeted nine times this week, converting that into five catches for 33 yards. He's had five or more targets in three consecutive games, but that just isn't really turning into noticeable production. Still, the Jags have room for his role to expand with Jamal Agnew out. Sunday, Laquon Treadwell got eight targets, but that isn't really a thing that feels sustainable. Look for Urban Meyer to find ways to get Shenault more involved.

A.J. Green, Arizona Cardinals

41% rostered

Before the bye, Green was targeted seven times, catching four for 78 yards. If DeAndre Hopkins is back this week, Green loses some value, but he's a possible streaming play if Hopkins isn't able to get back on the field. (Hopkins will likely play, but there's definitely enough concern based on how long he's been out that I had to mention Green.)

Kendrick Bourne, New England Patriots

23% rostered

Bourne caught a pair of touchdowns this week, with five total catches for 61 yards. He's getting a handful of targets each week and now has three scores over the past three weeks, so...maybe Bourne is worth a roster spot? Mac Jones seems to like him and Nelson Agholor saw just three targets, with Bourne emerging as the No. 2 option after Jakobi Meyers.

Russell Gage, Atlanta Falcons

17% rostered

Seven targets for Gage this week, who turned that into six catches for 62 yards and a score. He has 15 targets over the past two weeks, so it seems like his dude in Week 8 and Week 10 are a thing of the past. With Calvin Ridley still away from the team, Gage is the No. 1 wideout in Atlanta. And with defenses keying in on Kyle Pitts, Gage should continue to see plenty of targets. He's a risky WR4-type play, but that's definitely better than a lot of what's left out there on the waiver wire.

DeSean Jackson, Las Vegas Raiders

4% rostered

Jackson had his first big game since joining the Raiders, catching three passes for 102 yards and a touchdown against Dallas on Sunday. He's got Washington and Kansas City next, both defenses that could struggle to contain him on the couple of deep looks that he's bound to get. Jackson's a boom/bust play, but at a position where the waiver wire has essentially dried up, you're unlikely to find anyone with a ceiling even close to what Jackson can bring.

Zay Jones, Las Vegas Raiders

0% rostered

It appears that Jones has surpassed Bryan Edwards in Vegas, as he saw seven targets to just one for Edwards this week. In fact, Edwards has one total target over the last two weeks, while Jones has nine in that same frame. Now, Jones might not actually do much with those targets, but in a 16-team league where you're desperate for someone with at least a modicum of upside, Jones is an option.
