LCS DFS Picks for 07/25/21 - League of Legends Daily Fantasy for FanDuel & DraftKings

Expert League of Leagues (LoL) analysis and LCS DFS lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on 07/25/21.

Hey everyone, good morning/afternoon, and welcome to RotoBaller's coverage of League of Legends DFS for both FanDuel and DraftKings. Be on the lookout for coverage of the LPL, LCK, and LEC as well as we have some great analysts covering all LoL leagues for the Summer Split. Today, I'll be focusing on the 5-game LCS slate starting at 4 P.M. EST.

Hope you guys avoided the mess that was in the LPL/LCK slate last night. The IG/TES game canceling due to weather near the stadium messed up 30% of entries in most contests. Yesterday's slate was fun! DIG getting the W over TL almost sent me to the top of the leaderboard but FBI/Abbedagge/Closer couldn't get the job done for me. Today looks fun as well, many more close games today than yesterday.

Today I'll be bringing you my League of Legends advice and analysis for the five-game LCS slate that locks on Sunday, July 25th, at 4:00 PM. Thanks for reading, you can find me on Twitter @nvanhareDFS for more DFS related content!

LCS Matchups

  • Team Liquid (-314) vs. Golden Guardians(+246)
  • Evil Geniuses (-296) vs. CounterLogicGaming(+233)
  • Team SoloMid (-102) vs. Cloud9 (-118)
  • Immortals (+216) vs. 100 Thieves (-273)
  • Dignitas (+117) vs. FlyQuest(-142)

Team Liquid vs. Golden Guardians

My patience with TL has reached its breaking point and I'm finally going to admit I'm not hugely comfortable with their style of play and strategy recently. They've been losing games left and right and today after losing to Dignitas, I feel the least confident in them that I have all split.

Golden Guardians has been my day one team to play in all circumstances, but they too showed how much they fail to close games yesterday. They had a large lead and threw it over to TSM who ended up being in the winning lineup with their boosted scores. This game between Liquid and GG does have some promise in GPPs, although it's not my first option. I'd air towards using Liquid small stacks and GG large stacks in my GPP lineups that utilize this game.

Top TL Plays: Armao, Tactical

Top GG Plays: Chime, Stixxay, Ablazeolive

Evil Geniuses vs. CounterLogic Gaming

After an outright embarrassing showing last week on Sunday, CLG has come into this week and shown that they are fighting to restore their dignity in this league. They won their game on Friday and they came very close to taking the game away from 100T in a final score of 10-12 in favor of 100 Thieves.

If anything, these results show a lot of promise for this team moving forward, promise they'll need as their schedule doesn't get much easier with a game against EG today. Evil Geniuses lost Saturday to Immortals and look like they may be slowing down after their mid-season hot streak. I'm likely to hammer CLG in GPPs tomorrow but it's not like I'm ecstatic about the spot. I'll also likely use EG in my cash lineup but again, not a super fun spot in this game overall. Two teams that have had hot streaks this split but who are very average overall should be fun to watch.

Top CLG plays: Broxah, Finn

Top EG plays: Danny, Impact

Team SoloMid vs. Cloud9

TSM played a remarkable game on Saturday and managed to come back from what seemed like the dead against Golden Guardians. I preached playing TSM in the article yesterday and then didn't follow through in my own build, regrettably. This spot is another one where TSM likely comes in way under-owned as C9 tends to have that effect on their opponents.

While it's much more likely in my opinion that C9 pull the win in this matchup, I don't hate the idea of TSM stacks in GPPs. They've shown that in matchups against high paced teams they can adapt to the changing game style and hit them with their own pace of play. I'd likely avoid this game in cash formats but will heavily target the TSM side in GPPs and use some C9 as well.

Top TSM Plays: PowerOfEvil, Spica

Top C9 Plays: Zven, Fudge

Immortals vs. 100 Thieves

100 Thieves have been at the top of their game for a long time, and even with their slip-up against CLG on Saturday, I still think that they deserve to be massive favorites here. I'm likely to be using 100 Thieves as my main cash game stack as they have just run over teams this split without any trouble.

Immortals have been playing very well lately but when it comes to playing the upper-tier teams, they have a much tougher job. I'm always going to keep some exposure to the 100T opponents in GPPs as there's a lot of leverage to push/be had in that spot at all times. In the 20% or so of the outcomes in which 100T loses, I have to imagine it's a close, drawn-out game a majority of the time. This gives ample opportunities for their opponents to grab kills and assists and have a ceiling output overall.

In Summary, 100T is likely my favorite cash play spot while I will be having some exposure, but not much, to IMT in GPPs.

Top IMT Plays: Insanity, Xerxe

Top 100T Plays: Closer, FBI

Dignitas vs. FlyQuest

This game is my favorite game for fantasy purposes. Both of these teams have shown their propensity for up-tempo games and both have shown their inability to give up when in a deficit. In addition to this, the kill participation numbers for these teams are generally high and lead to slate-breaking numbers in their higher kill total wins.

Dignitas showed what they were capable of on Saturday with a huge win vs Liquid and FlyQuest has shown their skill in the recent past. While I wouldn't target either side of this game in cash lineups, it is my priority in GPPs. I lean more towards Dignitas stacks as they are the underdog and will have suppressed ownership as a result, but I'll have main stacks of each team in this one.

Top DIG plays: Neo, Akaadian

Top FQ Plays: Triple, Nxi

Summary

  1. TSM makes for a very interesting GPP play vs C9.
  2.  FQ vs DIG is my utmost priority on the slate with CLG EG as 2nd priority.
  3. 100 Thieves is the go-to cash stack for me on this slate.
  4. I'm not one to make predictions but I'm going to have a fun 5 game parlay each week where I post my picks here in the summary. This slate I'm going with CLG, TSM, GG, 100T, DIG! Good luck to all that are playing this weekend!
