  • Liquid (-371) vs. Golden Guardians (+286)
  • FlyQuest (+126) vs. Immortals (-154)
  • 100 Thieves (-159) vs. Team SoloMid (+130)
  • Cloud9 (-172) vs. Evil Geniuses (+141)
  • CounterLogic Gaming (113) vs. Dignitas (-107)

Liquid vs. Golden Guardians

After switching in Jenkins for their game yesterday, Liquid is bringing back Alphari today. This isn't because Jenkins had a bad game or anything, TL had announced the news prior to the game starting, seems like they are splitting time.

Golden Guardians have 20 deaths per loss this split and TL has about 17.5 Kills per Win. With TL being the clearly superior team here, they become a priority to me in cash and some GPPs. Tactical has a KDA of 6.3/1.5/6.1 in wins this split which corresponds to a point total of 29.4 before adding in bonuses or creep score. This is a really solid place to start in your cash lineups and a great one-off or small stack option in your GPP builds. To pair with Tactical, CoreJJ has a 1/1/12 KDA which is a point total of 26 before bonuses, and CS, another very good spot to have in your cash builds. In larger stacks in GPPs, I'd look to prioritize the addition of Jensen in my large stacks. With a KDA of 4/1.1/8.1 in wins, he makes a strong addition to the large stacks.

Overall, TL is my favorite in Cash and makes for a solid small stack in GPPs.

Top Liquid Plays: Tactical, CoreJJ, Jensen

FlyQuest vs. Immortals

Ever since FQ brought up their full academy team to the LCS, they have been playing out of their minds. The two games they've played together they've shown great skill and chemistry and a fire lit beneath them. It's likely they come into this game entirely chalky but it's chalk that I'm willing to eat.

FlyQuest with the academy team has a KPW of 23.5 and hasn't lost yet. Season-long IMT has a KPW of 16 and a DPL of about 15. Flyquest season long has a DPL of about 17. With these numbers, it seems like both sides have the opportunity to come out and put up big numbers. Triple, Tomo, and honestly the Full FQ team have shown the ability to have massive participation rates and high-scoring games. Raes has a 6.1/1.7/6 KDA in wins and Insanity has a 2.5/1.8/9.4 in wins. Both are closer to mediocre than incredible and are a major reason why in GPPs I still will be mostly targeting FlyQuest.

Overall, This game is a great one to target for GPPS but not for cash.

Top FQ Plays: Triple, Tomo

Top IMT Plays: Raes, Xerxe

100 Thieves vs. Team SoloMid

I never like to roster teams against TSM or TSM in general, but I might make an exception today. The field has shown a likelihood of fading the TSM game to an extent and with the low ownership, and the 100T playstyle, I think both teams likely come in under-owned.  100T doesn't like to let teams play slow, although they have more this split than before, and I don't think TSM is an exception. 100 Thieves have a DPL of 20 and TSM's is near 18. 100T's KPW is only around 16 and TSMs around 14.5. Numbers don't look great here, but with suppressed ownership, it's a spot I like.

PowerOfEvil has a 3.3/1.4/7.3 KDA in wins which corresponds to 23.1 points before CS/bonuses. In small TSM stacks, and large as well, he is definitely the priority on this team. FBI has a KDA of 4.4/0.8/7.6 and Closer has a  3.9/1.2/7.9 in wins, both corresponding to high point totals for the Best of 1 LoL format. Both of these players are priorities for me in my 100T stacks.

Overall, Dont use this game in cash, low floors for both teams, look to use it in GPPs in a spot where these two teams come in under-owned.

Top 100T plays: FBI, Closer

Top TSM Plays: PowerOfEvil, SPica

Evil Geniuses vs. Cloud9

EG has looked very strong lately and C9 has been slightly shaky although they did have a good performance yesterday vs Dignitas.

This game is one that I'm very interested in for GPPs as well as an option in Cash, C9 stacks make for a good cash play and, as a small stack on this slate, work well with a high floor high ceiling combo. C9 has only a 15 KPW this spit and EG has a slightly above 19, For DPL, C9's is about 18.5 while EG's is 19. EG has shown to be a very high-paced team this split and maybe they will inspire C9 to get back to their old tricks.

C9 stays as a top team in my mind but there is definitely some bias there, with EG playing at such a high level lately they're definitely a team I want to have some exposure to in GPPs while primarily focusing on a small stack of C9 in cash.

Top EG Plays:  Danny, Impact

Top C9 Plays: Zven, Blaber, Perkz

CounterLogicGaming vs. Dignitas

Lastly, we have a game between two struggling teams. CLG had life for a bit and then fell apart, and the same thing goes for Dignitas. Both of these teams are scrappy and love a good team fight and therefore is a good game to target in GPPS.

Let's break down the numbers. CLG has a KPW of 21 and a DPL of 17. DIG has a KPW of near 20 and a DPL of 16. This points towards this game being a high-pace "banger." When constructing DIG stacks, Neo is a priority for me. He has a 5.6/1.5/8.7 KDA and has a very high median scoring output in wins for his team. Pobelter has a 4.8/1.4/10.8 KDA in wins and Finn has a 5.2/1.6/9.4 KDA in wins. Both of these point towards high ceilings in wins for them as well. In fact, all players from these two teams look very good in wins and are great targets in gpps.

Overall, I'll be over the field on exposure to this game in gpps, likely shouldnt use it in cash.

Top CLG Plays: Pobelter, Finn

Top DIG Plays: Neo

Summary

  1. Liquid with Alphari back is a priority for me on this slate in Cash and will have some GPP as well
  2. CLG vs DIG is a high-scoring fiesta waiting to happen, dont miss it.
  3. FlyQuest likely major chalk here, but I can't see myself staying away from them with their new squad.
  4. I'm not one to make predictions but I'm going to have a fun 5 game parlay each week where I post my picks here in the summary. This week I'm going with Liquid, FlyQuest, TSM, EG, Dignitas! Good luck to all that are playing this weekend!
