Season Finale 500: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy NASCAR Lineup Picks

It's bittersweet, but we are finally here at the end of the 2020 NASCAR season. This year has been incredible and full of changes that will benefit the sport moving into 2021, but it's also gained a ton of new fans and network popularity. I'm proud to be associated with NASCAR as a DFS and betting guy and hope all of you that read this article each week enjoy what you read (because I don't just do it to get paid, I do it to help you profit, and become a fan of one of the most electric sports on the planet).

After being the first sport back this year with the pandemic, new fans rolled in quickly, and with the new format, Kevin Harvick and Denny Hamlin dominated the majority of the tracks. Now that we're preparing for Phoenix, only one of those guys will be competing for a championship. Hamlin has his work cut out for him, but as you'll see below, I still have some faith that he can bounce back.

Phoenix Raceway is an intermediate track that runs like a short track. When looking at the stats, It's almost a shame that Harvick didn't make the playoffs, because he most definitely would have been more than a heavy favorite (he probably would have won).  We've seen Sheldon Creed and Austin Cindric take home titles so far this weekend, so with one more race to go, here are my last DFS picks and bets for 2020.

Denny Hamlin #11

(DraftKings $10,300 | FanDuel $13,000 | DK Sportsbook +450 - 1 Units)

Hamlin has definitely taken a step back as the playoffs got deeper, but with him coming this far to finally end his streak of not being a champion, I can't see him going without a fight. Hamlin starts P4 on Sunday, and although I don't see him leading early, I do think he can sneak into P1 towards the end of the race and potentially get a win. You simply can't rule out Hamlin as being the element of surprise.

Joey Logano #22

(DraftKings $10,000 | FanDuel $13,300 | DK Sportsbook +500 - 1 Unit)

Logano will start the championship race in P3 on Sunday, and has one thing that the other drivers don't have at this track this year (a win). Word on the street is that Paul Wolf has been working on the Phoenix car since Logano's win at Kansas, and I'm all about Penske this weekend. Logano offers the biggest payout out of the four contenders, and could block his way to a win if he gets up front to sweep Phoenix for the year.

Brad Keselowski #2

(DraftKings $10,800 | FanDuel $13,500 | DK Sportsbook +450 - 1 Unit)

Big Bad Brad Keselowski is my favorite to win this race and the championship for 2020. Backing up what I said in Logano's paragraph, I love Penske at this track and the energy their cars bring. If that's not enough for you then I'd like to remind you that Kes will be running the car he won New Hampshire and Richmond this year (Bottom line is that it's time to SLAM BRAD K'S).

Aric Almirola #10

(DraftKings $7,800 | FanDuel $9,800 | DK Sportsbook +105 (Top 10) - 1 Unit)

Bacon Boi is here to make us some extra cash this weekend as my Top 10 LOCK of the race. Almirola has a great record at this track and will be in a good chunk of my lineups. Almirola starts in P10 and has five Top 10s at this track since 2017.

Kevin Harvick #4

(DraftKings $11,100 | FanDuel $12,300)

Harvick is Chef BoiRDeens pick to win this week, but I'm just not feeling it. I am however feeling like he'll be a key component to DFS lineups starting in P11. Harvick is an animal at this track with five Top 5's since 2017.

Austin Dillon #3

(DraftKings $7,400 | FanDuel $7,000)

I spoke with a few Garage Fam members this week and did some research before adding Austin to my list, but I can't pass up Dillon at this price. It's no surprise that RCR has gotten better towards the end of the 2020 season, and we can't overlook Dillon's Richmond performance from earlier in the year. Dont go overboard on AD this Sunday, but he should definitely see some light in your lineups.

William Byron #24

(DraftKings $8,400 | FanDuel $10,200)

Willy B + P25 + Dad Jeans and Blazer = Great Run. That was some Chase Math for you on why you should play Byron this Sunday. Byron has a great car, and with Chad Knaus in the box for the last time, I look to see a Top 12 finish from the 24.

Michael McDowell #34

(DraftKings $6,300 | FanDuel $5,000)

Why not take the time to play the Garage Guy MAC on the last race of the year. McDowell starts P29 on Sunday, and out of a few guys surrounding him, I feel more confident with Mike Mac for our punt play of the race. McDowell has also posted two Top 20's at this track in the last four races.
