The Oakland Raiders released cornerback Prince Amukamara on Monday, paving the way for the team’s younger defensive backs to see extended roles heading into the 2020-21 season. Amukamara made it known that while he was at peace with the move, he still wants to play this year. A full-time starter in the league since 2012, Amukamara is coming off a three-year stint with the Bears in which he defended 29 passes and amassed three interceptions. Oakland’s defense doesn’t carry much season-long appeal irrespective of Amukamara’s presence, although he could fill in as an extra defensive back for a contender.--Jesse BorekRead More News
