The Texas Rangers signed their first-round pick (14th overall), second baseman Justin Foscue, for $3.25 million on Friday. The Mississippi State infielder signed for below slot value for the No. 14 pick ($4.0368 million). The 6-foot, 203-pounder provides plus power at the keystone from the right side of the plate and has a solid floor at the next level. Foscue projects as a potential 20-homer threat as a big league regular and can also make enough contact to hit for a respectable average. The 21-year-old has average defensive skills for second base, but he could also play third base, if needed. Foscue was a consensus All-American as a sophomore and helped Mississippi State to College World Series appearances in both 2018 and 2019.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
