Major League Baseball owners are so upset about the Players Association's latest proposal -- which is for around $300 million more -- that no response is expected to be immediate this week. The league proposed a 60-game season earlier this week, while the players countered with a 70-game schedule, $50 million in playoff bonuses and a 50/50 split of new playoff TV revenues in 2021, among several other things. It might be the owners' latest tactic to delay and force the 2020 season to be shortened. The players continue to push for more games and the owners want fewer games, although we might be reaching a middle ground finally. The league is dead set on the regular season ending around Sept. 27, so every day that passes without an agreement will lead to fewer games played, considering teams will need a three-week spring training 2.0 to get ramped up.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
