Pennzoil 400 DFS: DraftKings, FanDuel NASCAR Lineup Picks

Chase Holden's DraftKings and FanDuel DFS lineups picks for the Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Read his daily fantasy NASCAR advice.

NASCAR is headed to Las Vegas in its third active week for the Pennzoil 400. Brace yourself for a heated race and ex drivers overusing gambling puns in the broadcast booth throughout Sunday. One exciting thing about this week is that we will get to see the new rules package come full circle with the addition of the Aero Ducts on the cars. Before we get ready to roll the dice (see what I did there) with your DFS picks, lets take a moment to revisit Atlanta.

Brad Keselowski secured the bag with his 2 career win in Atlanta. Keselowski was also battling a bad case of the stomach flu and was greeted in victory lane by his crew wearing masks to keep from catching the bug. After starting in 19th, he was able to rack up some solid fantasy points for DFS owners.

Most analysts see Keselowski having another solid race this week in Las Vegas but the man everyone will be watching is driver Kyle Busch. Las Vegas is Busch's hometown and everyone loves a good storybook tale. Its most definitely easy to add Busch to your deck this week (I did it again) but I will be fading him in favor of some back of the pack drivers that should bring some insane luck to owners on Sunday.

DFS Lineup Picks - DraftKings, FanDuel

Martin Truex Jr. #19 (DraftKings $10,100 | FanDuel $13,500)

Martin Truex Jr. bounced back last week after a disappointing DNF at Daytona. Truex finished 2nd in Atlanta and according to him could have caught up to Brad Keselowski if it wasn't for Ricky Stenhouse Jr. continuing to run the bottom lane despite being a lap down.

Truex signed with Joe Gibbs Racing this season but when it comes to his driving skills expect nothing different as he pushes for another championship. Truex is an excellent play this week starting at 23rd with a qualifying speed of 178.962. Many are putting their money down that he will be the victor on Sunday and with his record of six Top 10's and 252 laps led in Las Vegas you'd be foolish not to start him.

Brad Keselowski #2 (DraftKings $11,400 | FanDuel $14,000)

If Brad Keselowski can win a race sick its an easy sell to say he can win feeling 100 percent. Keselowski wont disappoint fantasy owners this week as a high valued play and its even sweeter when hes starting towards the back of the pack at the 19th position.

Keselowski had a qualifying speed of 179.211 and has one career victory at Las Vegas in his pocket. Team Penske has been one of the most hyped up teams in NASCAR due to thousing the cup champion of 2018 and the high powered Mustangs they have in their garages. Don't expect the talk and fantasy ownership to slow down for Brad K as we move onward into the season.

Aric Almirola #10 (DraftKings $8,600 | FanDuel $10,000)

Aric Almirola didn't have the best day qualifying but he had a pretty nice spot at the first practice at Las Vegas. Almirola finished sixth in the first practice with a speed of 179.474 but couldn't crack the top 20 while qualifying. Almirola will start the race in 25th with a speed of 178.318.

In Vegas Almirola has had two Top 10's in his career and in DFS that's all you need to get in money. He should have no problem making his way to the front of the pack with the help of teammates Daniel Suarez and Clint Bowyer not far ahead of him.

Chris Buescher #37 (DraftKings $6,500 | FanDuel $6,000)

Chris Buescher is my sneaky sleeper this week. The guy has straight up impressed me after watching him make his way from 30th to 9th at Atlanta. Aside from the sexy paint scheme he has this weekend, He's just too appealing to pass up at the low price tag he has on both sites.

Buescher finished 10th in the first practice and qualified 27th with a speed of 179.027. I don't make many picks off my gut, but something about flamingos, a pink and yellow paint scheme and Natural Light on the hood of a car speaks to my soul. The four year cup driver is beginning to show some promise so get him cheap while you can.
