Anaheim Ducks center Ryan Kesler (hip) has still not been cleared for contact. Kesler has been practicing with the team during the preseason, but he has not been a full participant. Kesler only appeared in 48 games last season as he recovered from offseason hip surgery. The hip gave him discomfort for the entirety of 2017-18 and the issue continued over the summer. While it is promising that Kesler has been on the ice during practice, it seems likely that he will not be ready in time for the Ducks' season opener on October 3. Even when he is healthy, Kesler has been an average fantasy asset for the past few seasons. He could be worth a stash in deeper leagues, but it looks like he may be out for at least a couple of weeks. --Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
