FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (5/29/18): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

FanDuel opted to break yesterday's games into three different slates. That is not the case tonight, as we have a plethora of games in only one slate. There are 14 total games, meaning we have plenty of options from salary relief to high priced.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 5/29/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me up on Twitter @BalesSJustin.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Kenta Maeda - P, vs PHI ($9,300)

Maeda has been playing at a high level this season, recording a 4-3 record, 3.38 ERA, and 1.24 WHIP through nine starts. He has also posted a 0.7 HR/9 to go along with an 11.7 K/9. Maeda has also been a better pitcher at home this season. He gets a good matchup against the Philadelphia Phillies, and Maeda is a -163 favorite in a game set at only 7.5 runs. He can be used in all leagues tonight.

Tyson Ross - P, vs MIA ($8,400)

Ross has quietly played well this season, posting a 4-3 record with a 3.13 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP through 10 games. He also gets an elite matchup against the Miami Marlins, who have one of the worst offenses in the MLB this season. Ross is also a -157 favorite in a game set at only 7 runs. The Marlins have the lowest implied run total on the slate at 3.1 runs, and Ross can be used in all leagues.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Albert Pujols - C/1B, at DET ($2,900)

Pujols has played well on the road this season, recording a .263 average through 23 road games. He also has a 38.5% extra-base hit rate with 74.1% of his RBIs coming on the road. He has also been a better hitter against right-handed pitching, recording 0.04 wOBA and 0.107 ISO differentials against righties. He has been playing well enough to be used in all leagues for his current price tag.

Brian Dozier - 2B, at KC ($3,600)

Dozier has been playing well recently, but he has still found ways to stay consistent. He has also been a more consistent and more powerful hitter on the road this season. He's leading off for the Twins, which could potentially give him extra at-bats tonight, as well. Dozier can be considered in all leagues.

Matt Carpenter - 3B, at MIL ($3,800)

Carpenter has been one of the hottest hitters in the MLB recently, recording a .390 average with a .756 slugging percentage and a 1.201 OPS over his last 10 games. He has struggled quite a bit this season, but it was only a matter of time before he began to heat up. He gets a good matchup against Zach Davies, and he's an option that can be used in all leagues for his price tag.

Freddy Galvis - SS, vs MIA ($2,500)

Galvis has hit surprisingly well at home this season. He has also displayed a solid combination of speed and power this season, and he has scored fantasy points in each of his last five games. He's not necessarily the safest option on the slate, but he's cheap enough to be considered in all leagues tonight.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Mike Trout - at DET ($5,200)

Trout has been playing at an absurd level recently, recording a .364 average with a 1.030 slugging percentage and a 1.553 OPS over his last 10 games. He also has 10 extra-base hits (six home runs), 10 RBIs, and four steals over that span. Furthermore, Trout has scored 18.5 or more fantasy points in eight of his last 10 games. He's an elite option in all leagues, but will come with high ownership.

Chad Pinder - OF, vs TB ($2,600)

Pinder comes with a surprisingly low price tag for a player that has featured solid consistency to go along with great upside. He has also been a significantly more consistent option against left-handed pitching, recording a 0.087 wOBA against lefties. He gets a decent matchup against Blake Snell, and Pinder is a salary relief option that can be used in all leagues.
