San Diego Padres outfielder Hunter Renfroe (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A El Paso Thursday night. If all goes well, he could rejoin the Padres within a week. Renfroe has been on the shelf since April 17 with right elbow inflammation. He was slashing only .200/.281/.440 with two home runs and was locked in a platoon role prior to the injury. Once activated, Renfroe will be the sixth member of the Padres outfield. There's a chance the Friars send outfielder Franmil Reyes back to Triple-A, but Renfroe's playing time is highly uncertain for now. Fantasy owners should steer clear until things work themselves out.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
