FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (2/4/18): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Before you settle in for the big game, why not throw a few lineups in this early afternoon slate? Nothing like a little sweat before switching over to football. We have five games on the board in this slate that will begin at Noon - and they're

Not a whole lot to dissect from Vegas as of my research Saturday night. I imagine line makers are being cautious and waiting until we get more injury and rest related news. As for point projections, there are just three teams projected to score 105 points or more - the Bucks, Knicks and Raptors all fall in the 106-109 range and they're good sides to get exposure to on this fairly small slate.

Below you will find our daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 2/4/18. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options, to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Eric Bledsoe - PG, at BKN ($6,400)

Bledsoe's recent struggles have brought his price tag down to a very ideal place. The matchup and game context today in Brooklyn is fantastic, and some of his recent fantasy struggles were tied to low minute counts - whether from injury, blowouts, or both. It's understandable if you're a little queasy about rostering someone who has failed to cash in four straight games, but on this small slate we need to consider the following- the low price point means he has the potential to give us 8-9 times his value, the Bucks are projected to score the second most points of the 10 teams playing today, this will be a pace-up matchup for Milwaukee, and the Nets are abysmal defensively.

Also Consider: Kyle Lowry - PG, vs MEM ($7,000); Russell Westbrook - PG, vs LAL ($12,200)

C.J. McCollum - SG, at BOS ($6,500)

On paper, this is a fairly tough matchup, but this Boston team is a little banged up right now. With that in mind, seeing that McCollum's price has come down a whole tier, and knowing our options are limited on a five-gamer, I will take my chances on McCollum. He's so heavily involved in the Portland offense (Usage rate of 26%) that he has a fairly high floor, and if the shot is falling, he can deliver us 7-9 times his value this afternoon. He's no stranger to the 40+ fantasy point club, doing so six times in his last 16 games played. For the season, he's averaged a pretty strong 0.94 FanDuel points per minute on the floor, and in the past month, he's topped that mark with a 1.08 average.

Also Consider: Khris Middleton - SG, at BKN ($7,400); Jordan Clarkson - SG, at OKC ($5,600)

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Giannis Antetokounmpo - SF, at BKN ($11,500)

The good Giannis has been back for nearly a week now, and in that stretch he has only failed to reach value twice in his last nine games. One of those games he was priced at $14.5 (!!!), so we can let that one slide, seeing as he still produced 53 FanDuel points that night. The matchup in Brooklyn this afternoon is a great one for Milwaukee, but particularly Giannis with the matchup issue he creates against what is already a very poor defensive team. The offense should run through his hands, and getting his normal run of minutes should allow him to cash pretty easily. The Brooklyn defense has allowed +3.3 FanDuel points over price implied projections to opposing small forwards this season. If the game stays close and the Bucks have their foot on the gas, I think this can be a smash spot for the Greek Freak. This season, he's produced at a 1.44 FPPM rate and should see 35+ minutes tonight.

Also Consider: Michael Beasley - SF, vs ATL ($4,500); Taurean Prince - SF, at NYK ($4,800)

Serge Ibaka - PF, vs MEM ($4,500)

To say that the options at power forward generally lack upside would be putting it very lightly. In all honesty, there are only maybe two or three guys with a 50+ point ceiling and a handful of others with 40+. As such, I think it's the safest position to spend down at with value plays, with little risk of missing out on a player who smashes. Ibaka is projected for 30 minutes against Memphis and him delivering 5-6 times his price in fantasy points is within reach as a .91 FPPM player this season. The fact that he's always active on the glass creates a nice fantasy point floor for him, and this is the type of game where he could rack up a few blocks, too.

Also Consider: Kristaps Porzingis - PF, vs ATL ($8,700);  Ed Davis - PF, at BOS ($3,800)

FanDuel DFS Centers

Julius Randle - C, at OKC ($5,900)

Julius is quite the discount today and I like his upside here - plus the floor he's been providing recently while hitting/surpassing his price implied total in five of the Lakers' last seven games. Randle has been a monster on the glass of late, pulling down double-digit boards in three of his last five games and never less than six. The matchup with Steven Adams isn't ideal, but his price is attractive, as is his involvement in this Laker offense. He's been posting Usage numbers around 25% and in a game that could be the highest scoring of the slate, Randle is a good way to get exposure to the Los Angeles offense without breaking the bank.

Also Consider: Jahlil Okafor - C, vs MIL ($3,700); Jonas Valanciunas - C, vs MEM ($6,400)
