Deeper PPR waiver wire sleepers and pickups to add for Week 7 of the NFL season. Frankie Soler finds lightly owned players for fantasy football owners to target.

Although it doesn't quite factor into a column about PPR sleepers, we should take a moment to acknowledge the injury to Aaron Rodgers. A broken collarbone is likely to end his season. For the record, that's way more disappointing for real life NFL football than it is for fantasy. Seeing a superstar go down with a significant injury is a big blow to the league. But alas, you're here for fantasy advice, so carry on we must.

This was definitely the most difficult week to find some deep sleepers. It's a combination of not having many significant movers, being smack-dab in the middle of the season, and simply knowing what players are by now. Still, there are ways you can continue to improve your team, even if it's just for depth purposes.

Here are some deeper PPR-league sleepers for Week 7. Note: all ownership percentages are from Yahoo leagues.

Deeper PPR Sleepers For Week 7

Bennie Fowler - WR, Denver Broncos (1% Owned)

Emmanuel Sanders was dealt a sprained ankle in Sunday night's loss to the New York Giants, opening up a spot for Bennie Fowler. Fowler scored two touchdowns back in week one, putting his name on the waiver wire radar right out of the gate. This isn't exactly a reliable offense for fantasy purposes but with Fowler already matching his target total of the last two years, he should be added for those looking to replace Sanders or seeking depth in general. An uptick in targets is on the way albeit on a short-term basis.

Josh Doctson - WR, Washington Redskins (6%% Owned)

The Redskins have been a fantasy enigma this year with only Kirk Cousins and Chris Thompson warranting being started every week. If they were smart they would start using Josh Doctson some more to give the team a spark. Terrelle Pryor has been a big disappointment so there's logic that supports there being room for a new receiver to step up. Unfortunately Doctson's targets have been super low to start the year with no more than three through the three games he's been in. With no one else stepping up in Washington, Doctson has good of a chance as anyone else on the team at breaking out.

Adam Humphries - WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7% Owned)

It's looking like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in the rare position of being able to produce as many as three fantasy relevant wide receivers. Adam Humphries hauled in six receptions for 51 yards in week six, giving him his third double digit PPR performance of the year. It was also his third outing with six receptions so he's getting enough looks to contribute. I would argue he's the deepest pickup this week as you'd have to be in a really deep league or have severe issues at wide receiver in order to start him.

JuJu Smith-Schuster - WR, Pittsburgh Steelers (14% Owned)

JuJu Smith-Schuster was on last week's list but is worth revisiting heading into week seven. Not only has JuJu outplayed Martavis Bryant, but there are rumblings of Bryant requesting a trade. Even if Bryant ends up staying with the Steelers, JuJu carries intrigue. The No. 2 receiver has value in Pittsburgh and it's looking like Smith-Schuster has a legit shot at overtaking Bryant for that role. You wont want to start him just yet but he's worth stashing on the bench in deeper leagues.
