Yahoo MLB DFS Advice (5/24/17): Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks

Happy Wednesday morning, or afternoon, or whenever you happen to be reading this. There are 15 games on the docket Wednesday with 10 of them happening in the evening. All 10 of the night games are connected to the GPP's so they're the ones that I'll be focusing on as a result. The start times of the nine games that are connected to the GPP contests range from 7:05 to 10:10 EST. Yahoo has some great value options to choose from for DFS games so let's get down to business (because, as usual, it's business time).

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for Yahoo on 5/24/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on Yahoo.

You can read our FanDuel and DraftKings DFS lineup picks as well. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @justinrklein.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Consider on Yahoo

The Houston Astros at home in the hitter friendly Minute Maid Park against LHP Daniel Norris. If you aren't aware the Astros tend to destroy LHP and Wednesday will likely be no different. I have several Astros listed below and there are a few others that I like as well. You can even pair them with Charlie Morton who is a solid option as well.

The Atlanta Braves at home at the extremely hitter friendly Sun Trust Park against RHP Trevor Williams and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Most of the Braves hitters are even solid values as well as good matchup plays. Not only will they have a great matchup against the below average Williams, but a stack of the Braves is likely going to be a contrarian play on Wednesday night. Just make sure you don't try to sneak Julio Teheran into that stack because he's been atrocious at home and I don't expect that to change anytime soon.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on Yahoo

Chris Sale vs TEX ($61)

Chris Sale has been a fantasy cheat code this season as he's posted a tremendous 35.8 FPPG. At this point he's been so good that he's just about an auto start regardless of who he faces or what his cost is. On Wednesday night he'll face the Rangers at home at Fenway Park. While he's super expensive he's worth paying up for as he's a huge -270 favorite. I expect elite ratios and K's in a dominant win.

Rich Hill vs STL ($42)

Hill had a nice outing in return from the DL as he maanged 18.7 fantasy points at San Francisco. On Wednesday night he'll face off with the Cardinals at home in LA. This is a solid matchup for Rich and the Dodgers as they are a solid -175 favorite in a pitcher friendly park at home. The Cardinals are only projected to score three runs and oen or two of them very well might be off of the LA bullpen. I don't expect Hill to go more than five or six innings, but I do expect solid ratios and a handful of K's in a likely win.

DFS Infielders to Consider on Yahoo

Catcher (C) - Mike Zunino vs WSH ($7)

Mike is back with the Mariners as they take on Tanner Roark and the Nationals in Washington. This is a good matchup for Zunino because it happens to be the best park in the league for right handed power. In his career against RHP Zunino has managed an ISO of .181. At the minimum $7 he's a solid Ray Guy punt play at catcher.

First Base (1B) - Hanley Ramirez vs TEX ($18)

Hanley will face off with Martin Perez and the Rangers on Wednesday night at Fenway Park. This is a good matchup as Han Ram has mashed LHP at home in his career to the tune of a .312/.398/.557 triple slash with a .246 ISO, .404 wOBA and a wRC+ of 142.

Second Base (2B) - Jose Altuve vs DET ($21)

Jose and the Astros face off with LHP Daniel Norris and the Tigers on Wednesday night. This bodes well for Altuve and his owners in the fake game because he's destroyed LHP in his career. This season he's struggled with his average against southpaws but still managed an enormous .316 ISO against them at home. I like his chances of improving those numbers tonight, so join me and get Altuve into all of your lineups.

Third Base (3B) - Luis Valbuena - at TB ($8)

In his career against RHP on the road Luis has managed a solid .177 ISO with a .318 wOBA. On Wednesday he'll face off with RHP Erasmo Ramirez and he's just a dollar over the minimum price. Sounds like a good value to me.

Shortstop (SS) - Andrelton Simmons at TB ($11)

Simmons has been solid against RHP this season; especially on the road away from the cavernous confines of Angels Stadium. Thus far Andrelton has notched an impressive .299/.355/.448 triple slash with a .345 wOBA and a 123 wRC+on the road against northpaws. On Wednesday night in St. Petersburg he'll face off with RHP Erasmo Ramirez. This means that Simmons is a good matchup play and at just $11 he's a solid value play too.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on Yahoo

Bryce Harper vs SEA ($26)

Harper has been destroying RHP at home this season to the tune of a .356/.479/.780 triple slash with a .424 ISO, .507 wOBA and a 214 wRC+. Those are insane numbers folks. Wednesday night Bryce and the Nats will face some RHP that you've never heard of on the Mariners. Yes, please. Unless he gets walked every at bat I think Harper gets an extra base hit or three.

George Springer vs DET ($16)

In his career against LHP at home Springer has sprung a .374 OBP, .197 ISO, .350 wOBA and a wRC+ of 148. After a day off on Tuesday George should be at or near the top of the lineup as the Astros face LHP Daniel Norris. I expect a solid outing where he gets on base and scores to go along with some nice power upside as well.

Carlos Gonzalez at PHI ($14)

Cargo and the Rockies face RHP Jeremy Hellickson and the Phillies in the bandbox known as Citizen's Bank Park in Philadelphia Wednesday night. This is a boon to Cargo's value as he's blasted RHP in his career to the tune of a .914 OPS, .248 ISO, .387 wOBA and a wRC+ of 129. Hello Nurse!
