Archie Bradley (SP,ARI) - Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add in all leagues

OWNED IN: 8% of Fleaflicker Leagues

ANALYSIS: After Archie Bradley took a ball to the face that prematurely ended his 2015 campaign, his future seemed very murky. Could he recover and remain the focused and confident pitcher that he displayed throughout the minors? How much rust would he have to work off in order to be viable? When could he be a factor again for fantasy owners? Those questions have all been answered with thunderous applause---Bradley is back.

Bradley's K/9 is close to 10 and his BB/9 are down to 4.18 which are both vast improvements to his career numbers. The confidence is clearly showing through as well as the fastball is still being thrown near 93 MPH and at a 72% usage rate. Bradley has replaced his cutter and changeup to form his nasty knucklecurve that hits 81 MPH.

The proof that Bradley is truly back comes in the form of his 13% drop in Hard% from 2015 and his .242 BAA. The BABIP of .313 is a bit concerning but with the offense behind him, run support should balance out any rough outings he may have. His FIP of 3.51 also demonstrates growth in his game as that is almost one full point below his career average.

Bradley is widely available right now and all leagues need to be on notice as the Diamondbacks pitching staff is falling apart and is looking for some of their young talent to be ready and produce. Bradley is doing that and so much more. Go get him and reap the benefits.
