MLB DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers – DraftKings Advice for 9/6/15

As always, my goal with this article is to help you identify viable options to insert into your DraftKings lineups, based on pricing and matchups data. Here's a compilation of players I like when choosing a lineup for Sunday, September 6th.

Editor's Note: If you play on DraftKings, you should check out our Partner FanDuel - they're hosting a one-day Fantasy Baseball league tonight. It's just $5 to enter and pays out $40,000 in cash prizes, including 4K to 1st place!

Offenses to Target for DraftKings Stacking

Toronto Blue Jays Middle of the Lineup vs Chris Tillman

The Toronto Blue Jays hold the best offense in the league against right-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 110. They have a great matchup on Sunday against opposing pitcher Chris Tillman, who has really struggled as of late and holds a 4.87 ERA on the year. Even though Edwin Encarnacion has cooled down, have a look at him for your lineup due to his terrific BvP stats. Josh Donaldson and Jose Bautista both also look to be quality value picks.

Houston Astros Middle Infield vs Tyler Duffey

The Houston Astros hold a top ten offense against right-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 99. Be sure to have a look at Carlos Correa and Jose Altuve as great middle infield options against opposing pitcher Tyler Duffey. Duffey has struggled against subpar offenses in both of his last two starts and has particularly failed to convert on strikeouts.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for DraftKings

Dallas Keuchel (SP, HOU) - $12500

Dallas Keuchel is admittedly a very expensive pitching option at this point. However, his recent performances has dictated his price tag. Keuchel has been able to improve his value throughout the year with better consistency and strikeout rate. He heads into this matchup with the Twins with 6 straight quality starts. The Twins hold a mediocre offense against left-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 97.

Rubby De La Rosa (SP, ARI) - $7200

Rubby De La Rosa looks to be a quality value pick as your secondary pitcher. De La Rosa has the talent to easily produce a great start on any given day, and he will have every opportunity to do so against the Chicago Cubs. The Cubs have, by far, the highest strikeout rate in the league, and also only hold a wRC+ of 96 against right-handed pitching. This should be great for De La Rosa, as he should be able to provide plenty of fantasy points even if he doesn’t last deep into the game.

DFS Infielders to Consider for DraftKings

Yadier Molina (C, STL) - $2900

Yadier Molina looks to be a nice bargain pick against opposing pitcher Gerrit Cole at home. The catcher position has been pretty barren in general, so don’t feel the need to spend too heavily here when there are studs to be had at other positions. Molina holds a wOBA of .309 against right-handed pitching this season, while Cole has been somewhat inconsistent over the past month.

Albert Pujols (1B, LAA) - $3900

Albert Pujols is a must-start against opposing pitcher Colby Lewis at home. Pujols carries a very low price tag at the moment and holds a .354 wOBA against right-handed pitching on the season. Pujols has also dominated Lewis in his career, as he is a lifetime 9 for 23 with three home runs against the veteran.

Ryan Goins (2B, TOR) - $2800

Ryan Goins is a dirt cheap option at second base against opposing pitcher Chris Tillman at home. Goins holds a .305 wOBA against right-handed pitching this season. Unlike the other players around Goins’s price range, Goins has been able to consistently perform and provide value in this great Toronto offense. In fact, Goins held a .314 average in the month of August and already has had some success in his career against Tillman.

Manny Machado (3B, BAL) - $4900

Manny Machado should be worth the price tag against opposing pitcher Mark Buehrle on the road. Machado holds a wRC+ of 106 against left-handed pitching on the season and has remained a consistent offensive force throughout the summer. Machado also has very number numbers against Buehrle in his career, going 8 for 22.

Alexei Ramirez (SS, CWS) - $3000

Alexei Ramirez has been extremely hot as of late, and his price tag hasn’t caught up with him yet. Ramirez is 13 for his last 24 heading into the weekend and will face opposing pitcher Johnny Cueto on the road. Ramirez has struggled this season and only holds a wRC+ of 67 against right-handed pitching this season. However, Cueto happens to be struggling heading into this start on Sunday. Cueto has given up 30 hits over his last 17.0 innings of work, resulting in 16 earned runs.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for DraftKings

Carlos Gonzalez (OF, COL) - $4500

Carlos Gonzalez is a must start on Sunday. Gonzalez has been on fire over the past three games, going 7 for 13 with five home runs. He will also face opposing pitcher Madison Bumgarner at home. CarGo only holds a wOBA of .239 against left-handed pitching this season. However, he has dominated Bumgarner in his career, going 15 for 43 with five home runs.

Mike Trout (OF, LAA) - $4500

Mike Trout is a complete bargain at this price and should be a great value pick as your secondary outfielder against opposing pitcher Colby Lewis at home. Trout holds a tremendous wOBA of .409 against right-handed pitching on the year, and he has great career numbers against Lewis as well. Trout is a lifetime 10 for 26 with three home runs against Lewis.

Kole Calhoun (OF, LAA) - $3700

Trout’s fellow outfielder Kole Calhoun is also a nice bargain pick against Colby Lewis. Calhoun holds a wOBA of .343 against right-handed pitching this season, and has comparable BvP numbers for Sunday. Calhoun is a career 10 for 23 with a home run against Lewis. Make sure to start these two Angel outfielders on DraftKings for Sunday.
