MLB DFS Lineup Picks and Sleepers - DraftKings Advice for 9/4/15

What's up RotoBallers. Welcome to another edition of my DraftKings DFS lineup picks and analysis. As always, my goal with this article is to help you identify viable options to insert into your DraftKings lineups, based on DFS pricing and matchups data. Here's a compilation of players I like when choosing a lineup for Friday, September 4th.

Editor's Note: If you play on DraftKings, you should check out our Partner FanDuel - they're hosting a one-day Fantasy Baseball league tonight. It's just $5 to enter and pays out $70,000 in cash prizes, including 7K to 1st place!

Sign up Now and we'll give you free access to RotoBaller's Premium NFL Preseason + Full Season Pass (Includes DFS Lineup Picks), a $99.99 monthly value. You'll also get a 100% bonus on your first deposit with FanDuel. After you deposit with a new account, email us for your RotoBaller Premium Pass.

Offenses to Target for DraftKings Stacking

Toronto Blue Jays Middle of the Lineup vs Ubaldo Jimenez

The Toronto Blue Jays hold the best offense in the league against right-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 110. Look to put Josh Donaldson and Edwin Encarnacion into your lineup, as they should have plenty of RBI opportunities on Friday. Jimenez has been ineffective as of late, as he has failed to reach 6 innings in four straight starts.

Cincinnati Reds Middle of the Lineup vs Matt Garza

The Cincinnati Reds look to have a great matchup on Friday against opposing pitcher Matt Garza, who has been absolutely terrible as of late. In his last outing, he was shelled for 11 hits, leading to seven earned runs in 3.2 innings against these very same Reds. The big names in the middle of the Reds lineup all actually have great career BVP numbers against Garza. Be sure to check out Todd Frazier and Joey Votto for your corner infield. Jay Bruce and Brandon Phillips also make for great bargain picks.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for DraftKings

Jacob deGrom (SP, NYM) - $11400

Jacob deGrom looks to have the best matchup on Friday as he faces the Miami Marlins. Giancarlo Stanton should still be out on Friday, and deGrom will have easy pickings against the rest of the lineup. The Miami Marlins hold the worst offense in the league against right-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 81.

Collin McHugh (SP, HOU) - $9100

Collin McHugh makes for an excellent value pick against the Minnesota Twins. There are many cheap but worthwhile options among hitters on Friday, so don’t be afraid to double up on aces for your pitching slots on DraftKings. McHugh is on a roll, with eight quality starts in his last nine outings. The Minnesota Twins also hold a bottom-five offense against right-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 89.

DFS Infielders to Consider for DraftKings

Brain McCann (C, NYY) - $4000

Brian McCann makes for a great pick against opposing pitcher Jake Odorizzi at home. Odorizzi has had difficulty reestablishing the consistency he had earlier this season. On the other hand, McCann holds a wOBA of .335 against right-handed pitching on the year. He has also dominated Odorizzi in a small sample size, going 10 for 16 with two home runs in his career.

Victor Martinez (1B, DET) - $2900

Victor Martinez’s price tag has bottomed out. However, he is simply too much value to pass up at this point. Martinez will face opposing pitcher Corey Kluber at home. Martinez has struggled and his wOBA against right-handed pitching has fallen to .247. However, Martinez has hit Kluber extremely well in his career. Martinez is a lifetime 9 for 25 with three home runs against Kluber.

Hector Olivera (2B, ATL) - $3000

Hector Olivera could be a great lottery ticket at the shallow second base position. Olivera comes at an extremely cheap price tag and has a nice matchup against opposing pitcher Tanner Roark. Roark is making his return as a starting pitcher and holds a 4.54 ERA with a 1.30 WHIP on the year.

Miguel Cabrera (3B, DET) - $4600

Miguel Cabrera is a must start against opposing pitcher Corey Kluber at home. Cabrera’s price tag is a complete bargain, as he holds a wOBA of .433 against right-handed pitching on the year. Cabrera has also dominated Kluber in his career. Cabrera is a lifetime 19 for 35 with five home runs against the Indians ace.

Corey Seager (SS, LAD) - $2700

Corey Seager could provide you with plenty of rookie magic to go along with Hector Olivera. Be sure to take advantage of his low price tag now, as Seager could easily boast a high price tag in a few weeks. In his debut, Seager went 2 for 4 with two RBI. His opponent James Shields has been much less effective against left-handed batters than right-handed batters this season. Note that 17 of the 26 home runs he has given up have been to lefties.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for DraftKings

Bryce Harper (OF, WAS) - $5000

Bryce Harper is another must start on Friday, as he faces opposing pitcher Julio Teheran at home. Harper holds a wOBA of .473 against right-handed pitching on the year. On the other, Teheran holds a horrific 6.32 ERA on the road, and opposing lefties are batting .306 against him this year. Lastly, Harper is a lifetime 9 for 21 with two home runs against Teheran.

Jay Bruce (OF, CIN) - $3900

As mentioned earlier, Jay Bruce should be a great value pick against opposing pitcher Matt Garza. Bruce holds a wOBA of .318 against right-handed pitching this year, while Garza has allowed left-handed batters to hit .307 against him. In his career, Bruce is 11 for 30 with three home runs against Garza.

Brandon Moss (OF, CLE) - $3400

Brandon Moss is on fire and makes for a great value pick as your tertiary outfielder, as he faces opposing pitcher J. A. Happ at home. In his past 7 games, Moss is 11 for 24 with four home runs. Moss holds a wOBA of .267 against left-handed pitching on the year and has hit very well against Happ in a small sample. Moss is a career 6 for 8 against the southpaw.
