MLB DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers – DraftKings Advice for 8/25/15

As always, my goal with this article is to help you identify viable options to insert into your DraftKings lineups, based on pricing and matchups data. Here's a compilation of players I like when choosing a lineup for Tuesday, August 25th.

Offenses to Target for DraftKings Stacking

Los Angeles Dodgers Middle of the Lineup vs John Lamb

As a team, the Los Angeles Dodgers hold a top five offense against left-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 109. The power bats in the Dodger lineup should have a nice matchup against opposing pitcher John Lamb, who has a 6.35 ERA with a 1.68 WHIP through two starts. Adrian Gonzalez and Yasiel Puig both look like great value picks for Tuesday.

New York Mets LHB vs Jerome Williams

The left-handed bats in the New York Mets lineup hold a top five offense against right-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 114. Curtis Granderson and Daniel Murphy both deserve to be in your lineup as quality bats who have also hit well as of late. Opposing pitcher Jerome Williams remains a great option to hit against. In his last start against Miami, he allowed eight earned runs through just 1.2 innings.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for DraftKings

Stephen Strasburg (SP, WAS) - $10000

Stephen Strasburg looks to be hitting his stride as we head into the stretch run. Strasburg has performed well in three straight outings and has shown more control than he has had all year. Strasburg should be in line for another quality start against the San Diego Padres, who hold a bottom-ten offense against right-handed pitching with a wRC+ of 92.

Wade Miley (SP, BOS) - $6800

Wade Miley makes for a quality pick as your secondary pitcher on Tuesday. Miley pitched well against the Royals and Mariners in his past two starts. He has shown control and an improved strikeout rate that adds to his value. Miley should perform well against the Chicago White Sox. The White Sox offense has cooled down in August. On the year, the White Sox hold the second worst offense in the league against left-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 71.

DFS Infielders to Consider for DraftKings

John Jaso (C, TB) - $2900

John Jaso makes for a bargain pick against opposing pitcher Ervin Santana at home. Jaso has hit right-handed pitching very well this year, holding a wOBA of .354. Santana has struggled with his control and remains very prone to the long ball. This is supplemented by Jaso’s great BvP numbers. Jaso is a lifetime 8 for 21 with a home run against Santana.

Miguel Cabrera (1B, DET) - $5200

Miguel Cabrera has continued to put together multi-hit games. It is just a matter of time before his power potential really kicks in. Cabrera should be a great pick against opposing pitcher Jered Weaver at home. Cabrera holds an incredible wOBA of .445 against right-handed pitching this season and is also a career 8 for 26 with a home run against Weaver.

Ian Kinsler (2B, DET) - $4300

While you’re selecting Cabrera, go ahead and pair him with Ian Kinsler. Kinsler holds a wOBA of .342 against right-handed pitching this season. Kinsler has been just as hot as Cabrera at the plate. In the month of August, Kinsler is hitting .369 with three home runs. His run-scoring ability as well as the power bats behind him make him an extremely safe pick for shallow competition pools on DraftKings.

Miguel Sano (3B, MIN) - $4700

Miguel Sano deserves some more attention. The rookie has earned his price tag on DraftKings, as he has hit .320 with six home runs in the last two weeks. Sano has a great matchup against opposing pitcher Nathan Karns on the road, as he has dominated right-handed pitching with a wRC+ of 198. Karns also remains incredibly inconsistent and has given up eight home runs in his last seven starts.

Francisco Lindor (SS, CLE) - $3700

Francisco Lindor comes at an incredible value given his recent production. He has a great matchup against the struggling Wily Peralta.  Lindor has hit .361 with two home runs in the month of August and holds a wOBA of .331 against right-handed pitching. On the other hand, Peralta hasn’t been able to strike out anybody and holds a 6.04 ERA in his last four starts.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for DraftKings

Adam Jones (OF, BAL) - $4400

Adam Jones looks to be a great pick as your primary outfielder against opposing pitcher Danny Duffy on the road. Jones holds a wRC+ of 159 against left-handed pitching on the season and has really picked up the power surge through the summer. Aside from a mediocre strikeout rate, Duffy remains inconsistent and will likely not last very long into the game.

Jackie Bradley Jr. (OF, BOS) - $4100

Jackie Bradley Jr. looks to be a high-risk high-reward option that you may need to consider if you’re entering a larger pool on DraftKings. Bradley Jr. will face opposing pitcher Jose Quintana on the road. Bradley Jr. has crushed left-handed pitching this season, holding a wRC+ of 265. He has shown to be boom or bust since being called up, so select him if you need that edge on your roster.

Justin Upton (OF, SD) - $3900

Justin Upton should be a great option as your tertiary outfielder against opposing pitcher Stephen Strasburg on the road. While Strasburg may have a nice day on the mound, Upton has still proven to be a productive bat against the dominant ace. Upton holds a wRC+ of 140 against right-handed pitching this season. Upton is also a career 9 for 29 with two home runs against Strasburg.
