Offenses to Target for DraftKings Stacking

Detroit Tigers RHB vs Eduardo Rodriguez

As right-handed batters, the Detroit Tigers hold the second best offense in the league against left-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 129. This offensive ranking came in part from the great play of Miguel Cabrera throughout most of the season. However, this is still a potent offense with the likes of Victor Martinez and J. D. Martinez holding down the fort. They should be great picks against opposing pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez. Despite some good outings this year, Rodriguez remains incredibly inconsistent and holds a 4.67 ERA with a 1.27 WHIP on the season.

San Francisco Giants LHB vs Kendall Graveman

As left-handed batters, the San Francisco Giants hold a top five offense against right-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 119. Sunday should be a great day to load up on some left-handed Giants against opposing pitcher Kendall Graveman. Graveman has struggled in his past few outings against tougher offenses. He has regressed since earlier this season, and will very likely struggle against this good Giants lineup. Brandon Belt, Joe Panik, and Brandon Crawford all serve as nice value picks for your infield on DraftKings for Sunday.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for DraftKings

Zack Greinke (SP, LAD) - $13000

Zack Greinke has finally been confirmed as the starter for Sunday, which is great news for those playing DFS because he will face a very weak New York Mets offense, not withstanding their incredible 15 run effort last night. Greinke has been nothing but outstanding. He has not given up an earned run in his last six outings, and holds a 1.30 ERA with a 0.82 WHIP. Greinke’s services should be well worth the price tag against the Mets, who hold a bottom five offense against right-handed pitching with a wRC+ of 86. Thankfully, there are plenty of places to find bargains for your offense on Sunday.

Aaron Nola (SP, PHI) - $5600

Aaron Nola’s ceiling is extremely high, and his price tag at the moment is still extremely low. Nola performed excellently against the Tampa Bay Rays in his major league debut, and has a very nice matchup against the Chicago Cubs to facilitate an encore performance on Sunday. Nola tossed six quality innings, giving up one earned run while striking out six Rays. The Chicago Cubs have a similar pedigree to the first offense he faced, holding the third worst offense in baseball against right-handed pitching with a wRC+ of 85.

DFS Infielders to Consider for DraftKings

Matt Wieters (C, BAL) - $2800

Matt Wieters is a great catcher option for Sunday if you have decided to spend heavily elsewhere. He is a reach into the bargain bin, and while he has yet to hit his stride this year with a .243 average, three home runs and 12 RBI, he has very nice career numbers against opposing pitcher Matt Moore. Wieters is a career 8 for 14 with 2 home runs against Moore. Moore has also struggled since returning from the DL. He has yet to post a quality start, and holds a 7.23 ERA with a 1.88 WHIP through four starts.

Joey Votto (1B, CIN) - $5800

Joey Votto has been on fire as of late, and it is difficult not to roster him on DraftKings at this point. Votto has really recaptured his status as one of the top first baseman in the league, and holds a .302 average with 18 home runs and 46 RBI. He is hitting .379 in the month of July, and has really made this Cincinnati Reds offense relevant again. Expect Votto to have a nice day at the plate on Sunday in Colorado. He will face opposing pitcher Kyle Kendrick, whom he has done well in his career against.

Rougned Odor (2B, TEX) - $3800

Rougned Odor is quickly jumping up the ranks of second baseman on DraftKings, and is a great value pick at the shallow position for Sunday’s slate of games. Odor now holds a .264 average with 6 home runs and 30 RBI. He is one of the hottest second baseman in baseball, having hit .391 in the month of June and .338 in July. Odor will look to continue his good against opposing pitcher Andrew Heaney.

Kyle Seager (3B, SEA) - $4200

Kyle Seager has been on fire. He is hitting .317 in the month of July, and has lived up to the high expectations placed upon him early this season. Seager now holds a .271 average with 15 home runs and 43 RBI. Seager should be a nice play against opposing pitcher Mark Buehrle as he is hitting .316 on the year against left-handed pitching.

Alexei Ramirez (SS, CWS) - $3000

Alexei Ramirez is a must-play at the shortstop position on DraftKings for Sunday’s slate of games. Ramirez heads into Sunday with a five game hitting streak and is hitting .333 in the month of July. He is an incredible bargain at $3K. Ramirez has also dominated opposing pitcher Danny Salazar with a 9-for-13 mark and a home run.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for DraftKings

Randal Grichuk (OF, STL) - $4300

Randal Grichuk has really earned his role in the Cardinals offense with his great hitting. Grichuk is one of the hottest outfielders in baseball and holds a .283 average with 11 home runs and 36 RBI. He has shown significant power, and should remain a great source of RBI and home runs on DraftKings. Grichuk will face opposing pitcher Matt Wisler on Sunday.

Adam Jones (OF, BAL) - $4100

At $4,100 Jones will easily fit into your DraftKings lineup. Jones holds a .283 average with 15 home runs and 44 RBI and has great career numbers against opposing pitcher Matt Moore. In 20 career at-bats, Jones has 9 hits, 2 of which were home runs against the struggling lefty. Look to put him in your lineup as a cheap secondary outfielder option.

Alex Rios (OF, KC) - $3300

Alex Rios looks to be an excellent pick as your 3rd outfielder for Sunday. Rios has picked up his offense since returning from the DL. He is hitting .348 in the month of July and has very nice career numbers against opposing pitcher Dallas Keuchel, going 8 for 23. At his current investment price, there is really no other outfielder with better value.
