MLB DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers - DraftKings Advice for 7/21/15

As always, my goal with this article is to help you identify viable options to insert into your DraftKings lineups, based on pricing and matchups data. Here's a compilation of players I like when choosing a lineup for Tuesday, July 21st.

Editor's Note: If you play on DraftKings, you should check out our Partner FanDuel - they're hosting a one-day Fantasy Baseball league tonight. It's just $5 to enter and pays out $100,000 in cash prizes, including 10K to 1st place!

Offenses to Target for DraftKings Stacking

Las Angeles Dodgers Infield vs Alex Wood
The Las Angeles Dodgers hold a top ten offense against left-handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 101. The Dodgers have a nice matchup on Tuesday against opposing pitcher Alex Wood. Wood has struggled as of late. He has given up double-digit hits in three of his last four starts and his WHIP has ballooned to 1.45. With this in mind, the Dodgers in the middle of the batting order should be in an excellent position to grab RBI on Tuesday. Adrian Gonzalez and Jimmy Rollins look like great value picks for your infield.

Cleveland Indians OF vs Matt Garza
The Cleveland Indians have a great matchup against opposing pitcher Matt Garza. As a team, the Indians hold an average offense against right-handed pitching. However, Matt Garza has been terrible on the mound as of late and guys like Brandon Moss and Michael Bourn both have nice career numbers against him. Garza holds a 5.55 ERA with a 1.55 WHIP. Garza has given up 41 hits in his last 24 innings of work. With this in mind, the Indians outfielders make for very cheap picks on DraftKings.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for DraftKings

Jacob deGrom (SP, NYM) - $10900
There aren’t many ace quality pitchers on the mound available for Tuesday. This scarcity increases deGrom’s value, as he has been absolutely lights out as of late. DeGrom holds a 2.14 ERA with a 0.92 WHIP on the year. His strikeout rates tends to come and go but his performance should definitely be a risk worth taking. As a team, the Washington Nationals hold an average offense against right-handed pitching with a wRC+ of 98.

Joe Ross (SP, WAS) - $5000
Crossing over to the other side of the mound, deGrom will be matched up against opposing pitcher Joe Ross. Ross has a fantastic matchup in his own right. Ross has been dominant in his major league appearances earlier this year. These performances include an 8 inning outing with eight strikeouts against Milwaukee and a 7.1 inning outing with 11 strikeouts against Pittsburgh. Ross should do well against the New York Mets. The Mets hold a bottom five offense against right-handed pitching with a wRC+ of 87.

DFS Infielders to Consider for DraftKings

Kyle Schwarber (C, CHC) - $3200
Kyle Schwarber is a tremendous bargain at the catcher position as long as he is guaranteed playing time. Schwarber is expected to start for the Cubs on Tuesday. He has hit .393 in the majors so far this year and looks to be living up to the high expectations many set for him. Schwarber will be facing opposing pitcher Raisel Iglesias. Iglesias has really struggled in his past few outings and holds a 5.90 ERA with a 1.52 WHIP on the year.

Billy Butler (1B, OAK) - $3500
Billy Butler is a must-start on DraftKings for Tuesday. Butler comes at an extremely cheap price and has been hitting well as of late. He hit two home runs over the weekend and holds a .252 average with nine home runs and 44 RBI on the year. Butler has dominated opposing pitcher Mark Buehrle. Butler is a career 22 for 67 with three home runs against Buehrle.

Ben Zobrist (2B, OAK) - $3700
Ben Zobrist is another Oakland Athletic who should be a nice play against opposing pitcher Mark Buehrle. Zobrist has cooled down in July but has still provided consistent hits. In a shallow pool of second baseman, Zobrist continues to provide nice value compared to his investment price. He holds a .294 average against left-handed pitching specifically. Zobrist is also a career 11 for 30 with a home run against Buehrle.

Manny Machado (3B, BAL) - $4600
Manny Machado remains the best and hottest third baseman in baseball. He is well worth the price tag and should have a nice day at the plate on Tuesday against opposing pitcher Nathan Eovaldi. On the year, Machado holds a .300 average with 20 home runs and 50 RBI. Eovaldi on the other hand has failed to reach a quality start in three straight outings and holds a 4.50 ERA with a 1.52 WHIP on the year.

Jhonny Peralta (SS, STL) - $4400
Jhonny Peralta and Alcides Escobar sit atop the pool of shortstops, and Peralta looks to have the better matchup going for him on Tuesday. Peralta has been the best shortstop this year. He holds a .300 average with 14 home runs and 48 RBI. Peralta is also 12 for his last 28 with two home runs. Peralta will be facing opposing pitcher Carlos Rodon. Rodon has been awful with his control and owns a towering 1.61 WHIP. Righties are also batting .291 against him.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for DraftKings

Mike Trout (OF, LAA) - $5800
Mike Trout remains the primary target at outfield for Tuesday. Trout has continued his good hitting and is well worth the price tag on DraftKings. He holds a .307 average with 27 home runs and 56 RBI on the year. He will face opposing pitcher Kyle Gibson, whom he has had some success off of.

Adam Jones (OF, BAL) - $5000
Adam Jones has been heating up as of late and looks to be a great pick as your secondary outfielder for Tuesday’s slate of games. Jones is 9 for his last 18 with three home runs, and holds a .291 average with 15 home runs and 44 RBI on the year. Jones has been extremely consistent and holds one of the highest floors of production in baseball. Jones should look to capitalize against opposing pitcher Nathan Eovaldi on Tuesday.

Brandon Moss (OF, CLE) - $3800
As mentioned earlier, Brandon Moss looks to be a great value pick against opposing pitcher Matt Garza. Moss has struggled this year but remains a lottery ticket in terms of his power potential. Given the right matchup such as this one, Moss could very easily produce great value given his low investment price. Moss is a career 5 for 10 with a home run against Garza. Moss should be a great option to round out your outfield as your tertiary pick.
