MLB DFS Lineup Picks and Sleepers – DraftKings Advice for 5/26/15

Below are my MLB DFS lineup picks for Tuesday May 26th, 2015. Always remember to check the MLB starting lineups, to see who is starting and sitting today, before finalizing your DraftKings lineup!

My goal with these DFS picks, as always, is to try and identify MLB players who will outperform their expectations today, based on their matchups and DraftKings prices. These players can be high-cost players, or they can be value pick sleepers, but we are always looking for players that have a chance to return the greatest value for your DFS lineups. Let’s get to it.

Editor’s Note: RotoBaller’s Premium DFS Lineup Picks & Tools help you get an edge for your DraftKings lineups with exclusive access to DFS tools and expert lineup picks. Also our DFS batters vs. pitchers tool helps you analyze today’s matchups and make optimal lineup decisions.

Offenses to Target for DraftKings Stacking

San Francisco Giants LHB vs Matt Garza

The Giants offense is still being underrated as they are overshadowed by the star power across their division. The Giants’ bats need to be noticed, as the lefties in the lineup have a top five offense against right handed pitchers. As left handed batters, the Giants post a wRC+ of 127 against right handed pitching. On paper, this looks like a great matchup against Matt Garza. Garza has struggled as of late and holds a 5.71 ERA with a 1.52 WHIP on the year. Look for guys like Joe Panik and Nori Aoki to be excellent sleeper picks at their respective positions.

Tampa Bay Rays RHB vs J. A. Happ

The Rays are another extremely underrated offense, with basically only Evan Longoria getting much attention from a fantasy perspective. However, they have a surprisingly good offense against left handed pitching. As right handed batters, the Rays post a wRC+ of 125, good for seventh in the league. Happ this year has pitched much less effectively against righties than against lefties, so look for the aforementioned Longoria as a safe pick at 3B. Also have a look at Logan Forsythe as a value pick at 2B and Brandon Guyer as an extremely cheap sleeper pick at OF.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for DraftKings

Jacob DeGrom – SP – Mets ($8300)

Jacob DeGrom is making a strong case for himself as an ace caliber pitcher this year. He has been absolutely dominant, and is earning the price tag that has been placed on him. On the year, DeGrom is 5-4 with a 2.75 ERA with a 1.11 WHIP. His success can be directly contrasted with the futility of the Phillies offense that he is facing on Tuesday. As a team, the Phillies post the worst offense against right handed pitching, with a wRC+ of 72. Shell out for a stud here and look for DeGrom to dominate this matchup.

Clay Buchholz – SP – Red Sox ($6900)

Clay Buchholz is admittedly inconsistent. However, there aren’t many better bargain options at the secondary pitching slot than Buchholz on Tuesday. He is pitching great as of late and you should ride his hot streak for as long as you can. He has turned in three straight quality starts and has a great matchup against the weak hitting Twins. The Twins are tied for the second worst offense against right handed pitching, posting a wRC+ of just 77.

DFS Infielders to Consider for DraftKings

Yadier Molina – C – Cardinals ($3700)

Yadier Molina has been hitting very well in the month of May and presents an extremely safe pick at the catcher position. His power looks all but gone at this point, but he continues to be a great threat to grab multi-hit games. Molina squares off against opposing pitcher Archie Bradley on Tuesday. After a good start to the season, Bradley has struggled to put anything together since returning from the DL. In his last two starts, Bradley has given up 14 hits and 5 walks in just 7.0 innings pitched.

Edwin Encarnacion – 1B – Blue Jays ($5300)

Edwin Encarnacion continues to hit bombs, with three in his last four games. E5 started off the year slow but looks to be righting the ship. He is one of the best first basemen in the game, and his investment price has now caught up with him. However, he is definitely worth the play on Tuesday, as he faces opposing pitcher John Danks. Danks has had a lot of trouble limiting runs against good offenses this year, and holds an ERA of 5.11 and a WHIP of 1.43.

Kolten Wong – 2B – Cardinals ($4200)

Kolten Wong has thrived since being moved to the leadoff spot in the Cardinals lineup. Wong has shown some above average power and a little speed for a second basemen. However, this shift has increased his stock significantly by boosting his run scoring ability in this great Cardinals lineup. Heading into this week, Wong has an 8 game hitting streak, and is hitting .310 on the year with 5 home runs and 3 stolen bases.

Kyle Seager – 3B – Mariners ($3500)

Kyle Seager continues to be underrated as a power hitter. However, with lack of depth at third base in today’s game, Seager’s production is finally getting noticed. His matchup is extremely favorable on Tuesday, as Seager faces off against right handed pitcher Alex Colome. Colome has yet to throw a quality start in five games pitched, and has really struggled against left handed bats. Seager on the other hand has a ten game hitting streak and hit consecutive home runs over the weekend.

Xander Bogaerts – SS – Red Sox ($3700)

Xander Bogaerts looks to be a nice value pick at the shortstop position. Bogaerts has really established his place in the Red Sox lineup, and is riding a seven game hitting streak heading into this week. Bogaerts looks a lot more comfortable at the plate this year, and is limiting his strikeouts. This bodes well for his matchup on Tuesday against opposing pitcher Mike Pelfrey. Pelfrey’s high contact way of pitching should guarantee Bogaerts some success on Tuesday.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for DraftKings

Chris Colabello – OF – Blue Jays ($3400)

Chris Colabello is an underrated option at outfield for Tuesday’s slate of games. Opposing pitcher John Danks really struggles against right handed batters, and Colabello is extremely hot right now. Colabello has now hit two home runs in his last four games, and holds a .379 average with 3 home runs and 10 RBI on the year. Colabello definitely deserves a spot on your roster as your tertiary outfielder pick.

Giancarlo Stanton – OF – Marlins ($5000)

Giancarlo Stanton has be a bit up and down this year. The power production has certainly been there, but his average remains something to be desired. However, you won’t find many people willing to bet against Stanton, who matches up against opposing pitcher Jeff Locke on Tuesday. Stanton has absolutely dominated Locke in his career, going 6 for 12 with 2 home runs. Have trust in Stanton’s power and insert him into your lineup.
