DraftKings DFS – NBA Fantasy Basketball Advice & Value Picks (5/10/15)

What's up RotoBallers? I hope you're enjoying the NBA postseason, and playing DFS games on DraftKings. We have provided our daily picks throughout the year and we will continue to push hard during this second NBA season.

Below are our favorite DraftKings DFS picks for Sunday May 10th, 2015. Keep in mind that fantasy basketball is a fickle game when it comes to injured players, so be sure to check all lineups prior to tip-off.

And as always, if you want to chat about your roster picks, check out the NBA DFS chat room at the bottom of this post.

Cleveland Cavaliers at Chicago Bulls

Down two games to one in the series, Cleveland will be in desperation mode after a heartbreaking loss at the hands of Derrick Rose in Game Three. With Kevin Love out and Kyrie Irving ($8,400) less than 100%, LeBron James ($11,300) should be in line for a giant game, as he usually brings his best for these occasions. Despite Jimmy Butler ($8,300) playing him well, James has still gone over 55 fantasy points in all three games of this series, and he's always a candidate for a triple-double. J.R. Smith ($4,900) and Iman Shumpert ($4,400) will continue to log big minutes, but Tristan Thompson ($5,000) has seen the biggest boost this series. Last time out, he put up 10 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks, which was good for 35.25 fantasy points. With little to no depth in the Cavs frontcourt, Thompson should continue to see around 40 minutes, which gives him a shot at 8x value.

Chicago’s generally small rotation was expanded last time out, with an injury to Pau Gasol ($8,200) and the offensive struggles of Joakim Noah ($5,700). Taj Gibson ($4,100) has continued to see a solid allotment of minutes, which has gotten him over 15 fantasy points in all three games this series, however it was Nikola Mirotic ($3,300) who was the revelation. In 22 minutes, the rookie of the year runner-up scored 26 fantasy points and hit 8x value. Despite a small increase in price, he could be again be a great value play, especially if Gasol is less than 100%. Derrick Rose ($8,100) and Jimmy Butler ($8,300) continue to be extremely solid plays-- if you can find a way to fit them into your lineups, you won't be disappointed.

Houston Rockets at Los Angeles Clippers

Much like Cleveland, Houston finds itself down in the series and playing Game Four on the road. Dwight Howard ($8,600) has been the best player in this series for Houston, with double-doubles and over 44 fantasy points in three straight games. Despite no over-the-top performances, James Harden ($9,900) has still managed to score 48 or more fantasy points in all three games. Along with a drop in price, Harden makes for one of the best plays on the board. There are no true value plays from the Houston side, but Terrence Jones ($4,600) continues to be a low-priced option with huge upside but also the ability to stifle any team.

If you had the guts to play Austin Rivers ($4,700) despite the spike in value and return of Chris Paul, you likely made out well, as the coach's son had a magical night that netted him 40 fantasy points. Despite a great night, it will continue to be hard to play a backup guard who is only getting around 20 minutes a game and is usually one of the last scoring options on the floor at any given time. The forward duo of Blake Griffin ($10,700) and Matt Barnes ($5,200) should be counted on as the top plays for Los Angeles, as they are both locks to play around 40 minutes and have the ability to produce across the board. If their jumpers are falling, J.J. Redick ($5,300) and Jamal Crawford ($5,100) can be great options, but the lack of counting stats can make both boom-or-bust options.
