Dae'Quan Wright, Zxavian Harris Ruled Ineligible
The SEC has followed in the Big Ten's footsteps, enforcing a rule that no player who has signed an NFL contract can return to college. This new rule makes tight end Dae'Quan Wright and defensive tackle Zxavian Harris, who were released from their NFL teams and signed to play with LSU, ineligible. This also applies to former SMU running back TJ Harden, who had been in talks with a few SEC teams. SEC commissioner also made sure that this ruling applied to basketball, making LSU's recent signing of guard RJ Luis ineligible. It remains to be seen if the former Ole Miss stars will continue to fight for eligibility with LSU, or if they will return to pursuing an NFL career.
