Cade Otton 2026 Fantasy Football Outlook: Returning to a Crowded Offense Once Again
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton is returning for his fifth year with the team in 2026. His 2025 campaign was buoyed by WR teammates Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Jalen McMillan all missing significant time. Nevertheless, Otton's stat line of 59 receptions on 81 targets for 572 yards and one touchdown represented a slight tick downward from his 2024 output. He ultimately finished as the TE22, his worst ranking since his rookie year. Evans is now in San Francisco, removing one obstacle for Otton, but Godwin and McMillan will enter the season healthy. The team's top wideout, sophomore Emeka Egbuka, is poised to step up further, too, and third-round rookie Ted Hurst also joins the receiving room. On the bright side for Otton, he had the highest snap share of any tight end in 2025, and the Buccaneers added no real competition for him at the position this offseason. Still, although Otton will see plenty of playing time, his target volume appears set to decrease. He is being drafted as the TE27, meaning he is nothing more than a late-round pick at this time. Prioritize other options to fill out your roster in your fantasy draft.
