Chicago White Sox infielder Jacob Gonzalez was lifted early during Friday's game with Triple-A Charlotte. Gonzalez is likely headed to the big leagues with Munetaka Murakami (hamstring) being pulled from Friday's contest versus the Detroit Tigers. The assumption is that Murakami will require a stint on the Injured List, which could give Gonzalez his first taste of big league action. Gonzalez smacked his 19th home run of the season during Friday's game. The 23-year-old appears to be ready for the next level and could get his shot as early as this weekend. The former first-round pick could become a must-add player if he does receive the call to The Show.--Andy Webb
