NASCAR practice speeds, lap averages and notes for the 2026 Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Use the NASCAR stats and data to build DFS lineups on DraftKings. Christopher Bell was fastest.
The NASCAR Cup Series ran a single practice session at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon in preparation for the upcoming Pennzoil 400 on Sunday afternoon.
The 36-car field was split into two groups for practice.
Below you will find the two groups, key notes from the practice session, as well as the practice speeds for all drivers.
Important Practice Notes
Penalties - William Byron, Austin Cindric, AJ Allmendinger, and Ty Dillon all received penalties during inspection and will lose their pit stall selection and car chief this weekend.

Ryan Blaney - Ryan Blaney (and Team Penske as a whole) struggled to find speed in practice, and it was reported that Blaney felt a vibration in his car on lap one. He came down pit road during the session for some adjustments and went back out with a few minutes left to shake down the car.
AJ Allmendinger - Late in the session, it was reported that AJ Allmendinger was concerned he might have a power steering issue, as the No. 16 Chevrolet was not driving smooth at all.
Justin Allgaier - Alex Bowman is out for the second straight week due to vertigo symptoms. This weekend, Justin Allgaier is stepping into the No. 48 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports as the replacement driver.
Ty Dillon - As mentioned before, the No. 13 Chevrolet had some inspection issues this weekend. Due to that, Ty Dillon wasn't able to turn any laps during practice.
