The second round of the fantasy playoffs kicks off with a historic Thursday night matchup between the 11-3 Seattle Seahawks and 11-3 Los Angeles Rams. With star WR Davante Adams (hamstring) considered doubtful to play, other Rams weapons will be forced to step up.

In this article, we will evaluate the Week 16 outlooks for three Rams: Colby Parkinson, Jordan Whittington, and Blake Corum.

Should I Start Colby Parkinson for Fantasy Football?

Parkinson has been surging over the second half of the season with Tyler Higbee (ankle) on Injured Reserve. His role has steadily increased of late, running 71% of the routes in Week 14 and 58.5% in Week 15, his two highest route shares of the season.

The 26-year-old tight end has scored in five of the past six games and has been a magnet for red zone targets, leading the league with 14 during that time. Adams' absence will open up even more opportunities for Parkinson. Adams has racked up 14 touchdowns with 32 red zone targets this season. The 6-foot-7 tight end is a strong bet to find the end zone again on Thursday night against a Seattle defense that has struggled more against tight ends, allowing the fourth most yards per game (68.0).

Parkinson all of a sudden projects as a borderline top-five TE in Week 16. He is dependent on finding the end zone, but that's the case for a lot of tight ends. Plus, he just recorded his most targets (seven), catches (five), and yards (75) last week against the Lions. With Parkinson riding a six-game hot streak, Adams likely to be out, and a favorable matchup, Parkinson should be fired up in all formats for the second round of the fantasy playoffs.

Should I Start Jordan Whittington for Fantasy Football?

Whittington could be in line for an expanded role on Thursday night with Adams out. However, his usage has been scaled back over the past three weeks. The 25-year-old has recorded route shares of 10%, 9.7%, and 9.8% of the past three weeks, his three lowest marks of the season.

The Texas product had at least been in a part-time role for most of the season, averaging a 44.6% route share leading up to Week 13. He benefited the most when Puka Nacua missed Week 7's game with a foot injury, stepping into a full-time role at 82.8%. It didn't amount to much production, though, catching two of four targets for nine yards.

It appears rookie Konata Mumpfield is expected to see more snaps in Adams' absence on Thursday night. His snaps spike to 76.7% when Adams isn't on the field, and two of his three highest route shares have come in the past three weeks while Whittington's have dropped. The 23-year-old has only caught five of nine targets for 42 yards and a touchdown in 14 games this season, but he profiles as the better dart throw for managers looking to replace Adams in deeper leagues.

Should I Start Blake Corum for Fantasy Football?

Corum has been exceptional lately. His change of direction and explosiveness have been on display as he's gotten more work over the past three games, racking up 280 yards and four touchdowns on 30 carries. The second-year back's 9.3 yards per carry over that three-game stretch ranks the second-highest average in any three-game span this season (minimum 30 carries), trailing only Jahymir Gibbs' 9.5 average in Weeks 10 through 12. The Michigan product ranks as the RB4 in fantasy over the past three weeks.

The Rams' running game has been absolutely dominant over the past five games, leading the league in Rush EPA (0.208) and Rushing Success Rate (57.6%). Corum is a huge piece of that with his ability to pick up more yards than what is blocked. The 25-year-old is tied with James Cook, TreVeyon Henderson, and De'Von Achane for the best rushing yards over expected per attempt (+1.2), per NFL Pro.

Corum faces a tough matchup on Thursday night against an elite run defense in the Seattle Seahawks. They've allowed the second-lowest yards per carry (3.8) and the second-fewest rushing yards over expected (-120). The 25-year-old back had his worst game of the season against Seattle back in Week 11, handling eight carries for just 10 yards. With a tough matchup, Corum profiles as an RB3 for Thursday night, but his recent form does give some upside as a flex play as he's earned more work behind Kyren Williams.
