Evander Kane Expected to Be Fine After Skate Cut
Vancouver Canucks left wing Evander Kane (forearm) missed the end of Tuesday's loss to the Colorado Avalanche but is not expected to be out for an extended period. Kane suffered a skate cut on his forearm late in the contest. Fortunately, Canucks head coach Adam Foote mentioned postgame that the cut wasn't deep, so it's possible Kane might not have to miss any games. A few years ago, Kane was involved in a similar incident and had to sit out several months after sustaining a skate cut on his wrist. The power forward saw a three-game point streak end on Tuesday. He has notched 14 points (five goals, nine assists) in 27 games for the season, delivering 50 hits.
