Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks

Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 13:

Michael Wilson, WR, Arizona Cardinals

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Wilson has seen a staggering 32 targets over his last two games, converting that into 25 catches for 303 yards. In a rare third-year midseason breakout, he has taken full advantage of the opportunity presented by the two-game absence of Marvin Harrison Jr. (appendix), who continues to recover from an emergency appendectomy.

When asked on Tuesday about Wilson's role upon Harrison's return, Cardinals offensive coordinator Drew Petzing offered that he would be moved around the formation while continuing to see early reads. He went on to say, "When you produce in this league, we're gonna give you more opportunities to continue to do that."

Wilson remains a must-start for as long as Harrison is out, but in a suddenly pass-heavy Jacoby Brissett-led offense, he should maintain flex value down the stretch and into the fantasy playoffs.

Parker Washington, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington looks like an impactful find off the waiver wire for fantasy managers who scooped him up a few weeks ago after injuries to Travis Hunter (knee) and Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle).

Since Week 7, Washington has played a full-time role for the Jaguars, amassing 22 receptions for 266 yards and two touchdowns on 35 targets, averaging 12.4 PPR points per game and ranking as the WR28 in that time. The 23-year-old has operated mostly out of the slot and has developed a good connection with quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

The trade deadline acquisition of Jakobi Meyers has taken away some of the target volume, and the return of Brenton Strange in Week 12, along with the expected return of Thomas in Week 13, could complicate things and limit Washington's upside. Washington ranks as RotoBaller's WR41 in PPR leagues for Week 13

Jauan Jennings, WR, San Francisco 49ers

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that the NFL will review San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings' actions on Monday night against the Carolina Panthers for a possible fine, but he won't be suspended. Panthers safety Tre'Von Moehrig took a cheap shot to a sensitive area for Jennings late in Monday night's game, and Jennings had to be held back following the conclusion of the contest. T

he 28-year-old caught five of his seven targets for 41 yards and his fourth touchdown of the season in the 20-9 victory. Three of Jennings' four scores on the year have come in the last four games, and he has a higher fantasy ceiling with quarterback Brock Purdy recovered from a turf-toe injury that caused him to miss most of the season.

Going into a tough Week 13 matchup against the Cleveland Browns, Jennings should be viewed as a touchdown-dependent WR3/flex option.

Bucky Irving, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said that running back Bucky Irving (foot, shoulder) is in play to return on Sunday in Week 13 to face the Arizona Cardinals, according to Greg Auman of FOX Sports. Things were trending this way after Irving put in a full practice on Friday, but now it's official that Irving will be active in Week 13 for the first time since Week 4.

The 23-year-old has recovered from a subluxation of his shoulder and a foot sprain. His fantasy managers will be happy to know he's back, but at the same time, he could easily disappoint in his first game after a long layoff, with the Bucs expected to put a limit on the number of snaps he plays on Sunday.

Sean Tucker and Rachaad White should still be involved in Tampa's backfield against the Cards, making the Bucs' backfield a potential three-headed monster in Week 13.

Bam Knight, RB, Arizona Cardinals

Arizona Cardinals running back Bam Knight (knee) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice with a knee injury. The Cardinals' backfield remains banged up as Trey Benson (knee) and Emari Demercado (ankle) did not practice on Thursday.

This leaves Michael Carter as the team's only healthy back. Knight has now logged back-to-back limited sessions and will need to be a full participant on Friday to avoid an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Zonovan Knight has caught four passes and found the end zone in back-to-back weeks. The 24-year-old will look to score for a third straight game and can be used as a FLEX option if Benson and Demercado are ruled out again in Week 13.
