Justin Thomas Needs Ball-Striking Consistency at TPC River Highlands
With a T17 finish last week at the US Open, Justin Thomas has now recorded six consecutive top-25 finishes. It's been a consistent run for the 33-year-old due to an awesome short game and getting hot with the putter, at times, making this week at TPC River Highlands a salivating opportunity. He has been one of the strongest players at this event in recent memory with a typically strong approach game, posting finishes of T9, T5, and T9 over the last three years. However, ball striking has been the point of inconsistency this season, even through this impressive run of play. It obviously isn't poor enough to keep him from solid DFS production, but it should temper expectations somewhat. JT is a fine play as long as his ceiling is realized without some uptick in ball striking.
