San Jose Sharks defenseman John Klingberg (upper body) returned to the ice on Thursday, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports. The veteran rearguard suffered an upper-body injury in Sunday's preseason outing against the Vegas Golden Knights. According to Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky, Klingberg is improving but is doubtful to play in Friday's matchup against Vegas. Klingberg joined the Sharks on a one-year, $4 million deal in July. He's had trouble staying healthy in recent years, and fantasy managers shouldn't expect him to make a big impact this season.--Taavi Pailk
