College Football DFS Rankings for Week 2 - Daily Fantasy Expert Picks (Saturday, 9/6/25)

Drew Allar - College Football Rankings, NCAA DFS Picks, NFL Draft

Brad's college football DFS rankings for Week 2 on 9/6/25. His daily fantasy college football rankings for QBs, RBs, and WRs and the DFS slates on DraftKings and FanDuel.

With one full week in the books, we can now look forward to Week 2 action, where we will hopefully have some clarity on roles and responsibilities. One thing to note, going from Week 1 to this week, be careful to look at the box scores and see who each team played. For example, Texas had a top-3 matchup with an elite Ohio State offense, while many others played lower G5 or FCS schools.

There will be things we can learn and take from Week 1, primarily from teams that did not release depth charts going into the first week. Running back carries or receiving targets are two of the most important things to note as the season progresses.

In the article below, you will find my CFB DFS lineup picks for Week 2 (Saturday, September 6) via my positional college football rankings. Use these CFB DFS rankings when building daily fantasy college football on DraftKings, and be sure to read the rest of our CFB DFS articles and CFB betting articles as well. Good luck, RotoBallers!

CFB DFS Quarterback Rankings

QB Cash Rankings Per $ QB GPP Rankings Per $
1 Sawyer Robertson 1 Arch Manning
2 Kevin Jennings 2 Beau Pribula
3 CJ Bailey 3 Darian Mensah
4 Beau Pribula 4 Sawyer Robertson
5 Jalon Daniels 5 DJ Lagway
6 Austin Simmons 6 CJ Bailey
7 Steve Angeli 7 Zane Flores
8 Byrum Brown 8 Kevin Jennings
9 Dante Moore 9 Joe Fagnano
10 Luke Altmyer 10 Dante Moore

Quarterback seems pretty loaded this week, as there are options at all price points. Known quantities like Sawyer Robertson, Kevin Jennings, and Jalon Daniels are all easy top plays as they are locked into production. Meanwhile, transfers such as Beau Pribula, Austin Simmons, and Steven Angeli all produced big in their new offenses.

In GPPs, I am still all in on Arch Manning. With a still inflated price tag and a poor Week 1, you will likely not see Arch at a lower usage number all year in DFS. Yes, it is a bit risky, but do not be surprised if HC Steve Sarkisian wants to get his confidence back up after a tough Week 1. Other five-star options like DJ Lagway and Dante Moore could also bust out this week after good Week 1 performances.

CFB DFS Running Back Rankings

RB Cash Rankings Per $ RB GPP Rankings Per $
1 Noah Whittington 1 Noah Whittington
2 Nicholas Singleton 2 Bryson Washington
3 Hollywood Smothers 3 Terrell Washington
4 Yasin Willis 4 Hollywood Smothers
5 Ahmad Hardy 5 Dante Dowdell
6 Kewan Lacy 6 Kewan Lacy
7 Dante Dowdell 7 Nicholas Singleton
8 Terrell Washington 8 Kejon Owens
9 Bryson Washington 9 Yasin Willis
10 Cam Edwards 10 Ahmad Hardy

Apparently, DraftKings did not get the memo that Noah Whittington is the new No. 1 back for the high-powered Oregon offense. After 10 carries in a blowout Week 1, it will be hard not to snap up Whittington at this price. Other known studs like Nicholas Singleton, Hollywood Smothers, and Ahmad Hardy all look locked into key roles for low prices.

In GPPs, there will be a ton of ways to go as you can get value up and down the board here. Whittington remains a great option, but players such as Dante Dowdell, Yasin Willis, and Kewan Lacy had monster Week 1 games. There is some touchdown regression coming for some of these players, but for less than $6K on some of these players, it is hard not to find value here.

CFB DFS Wide Receiver Rankings

WR Cash Rankings Per $ WR GPP Rankings Per $
1 Trebor Pena 1 Parker Livingstone
2 Kole Wilson 2 Wesley Grimes
3 Danny Scudero 3 Kole Wilson
4 Harrison Wallace III 4 Harrison Wallace III
5 Wesley Grimes 5 Johntay Cook
6 Johntay Cook 6 Trebor Pena
7 Michael Trigg 7 Ryan Wingo
8 Romello Brinson 8 Michael Trigg
9 Keshaun Singleton 9 Danny Scudero
10 Emmanuel Henderson Jr. 10 Skyler Bell

Receiver for me is easily the toughest group of all to evaluate this week. There were a lot of good performances last week, but ones that could easily go south this week. Trebor Pena, Kole Wilson, and Danny Scudero lead the cash game group, mainly based on the target share from last week. In any matchup, if your WR1 is going to get eight or more targets, that is all you can hope for in a college receiver.

In GPPs, my No. 1 player is a big gamble as freshman Parker Livingstone was the go-to option for Texas in Week 1. At under $4K, expect him to be a popular punt with huge upside. Also of note, generally the tight-end position is one to avoid, but Johntay Cook at Syracuse and Michael Trigg at Baylor put up huge numbers in Week 1 and could be their team's go-to option in the passing game.
