ANALYSIS: The Titans bolstered their wide receiver room by adding Elic Ayomanor out of Stanford in the fourth round of the draft. Ayomanor spent his entire collegiate career with Stanford. In 2023 and 2024, Ayomanor averaged a strong 922.0 receiving yards per season and found the back of the end zone six times in each campaign.
However, in 2024, he set a career-high in receptions.
Throughout training camp, Ayomanor was a name to monitor as he had a good opportunity to immediately carve out a role on a Tennessee offense that lacked true pass catchers outside of veteran Clavin Ridley. The Titans also have several other options, like Tyler Lockett and Van Jefferson, but both are near the end of their careers and have minimal upside.
His production in the preseason seems to have paid off, as the rookie was officially listed as a starter heading into their Week 1 match against the Denver Broncos. While this is an excellent sign for his long-term outlook for the campaign, fantasy managers should pump the brakes in the season opener.
He will face one of the toughest secondaries in football, and his quarterback, Cam Ward, may struggle against this elite unit. While Ayomanor could emerge as a reliable WR3/flex option later in the season, he is best left out of your starting lineup in this difficult Week 1 matchup.
