Walker Buehler Signs With Phillies
Walker Buehler on Sunday. Well, it didn't take Buehler long to find a new home after being released by the Boston Red Sox on Friday. Buehler has struggled this season with a 5.45 ERA, 1.56 WHIP, and a 84/55 K/BB ratio across 23 games (22 starts) with the Red Sox. This seems like a low-risk move for the Phillies to get another arm for the postseason. The 31-year-old had solid postseason success during his time with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Phillies rotation is currently full, so Buehler figures to operate out of the bullpen. A good depth move for the Phillies, but the change of scenery probably won't help Buehler's fantasy value.
