Angels Place Gustavo Campero on Injured List With Ankle Sprain
Gustavo Campero (ankle) on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday with a left-ankle sprain and recalled infielder Niko Kavadas from Triple-A Salt Lake in a corresponding move. Campero will miss at least the next 10 days after spraining his ankle on the right-field fence on Monday night while trying to rob Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy of a home run in the eighth inning. The 27-year-old switch-hitting Colombian has played in only 28 games in 2025 in his second year in the big leagues with the Angels and has gone 10-for-58 (.172) with three home runs, eight RBI, nine runs and four stolen bases in his 66 trips to the plate. Jo Adell will man right field on Tuesday against the Dodgers and bat sixth against right-hander Emmet Sheehan. Mike Trout has yet to return to right-field duties, but that could change soon.
