MLB DFS Picks Today: Daily Fantasy Baseball Strategy and Tips For FanDuel, DraftKings (6/8/25)

Matt Wallner - fantasy baseball draft sleepers DFS MLB injury news

Andy's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Sunday, 6/8/25. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Welcome Back, RotoBallers! Today, we have an action-packed nine-game slate to close out the week. On the hitting side, we will highlight four teams that have top match-ups, including the Arizona Diamondbacks, who could be poised for an offensive explosion.

On the pitching side, we could see a pitcher's duel in Pittsburgh as two of the top pitchers in the National League, Cristopher Sanchez and Paul Skenes, will take the bump.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/8/2025, with the slate starting on both sites at 1:05 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will showcase elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is always essential.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Paul Skenes, PIT vs. PHI ($11K DK/$10.7K FD)

The reigning NL Rookie of the Year carries the highest upside on the pitching side of the slate. Through 83 1/3 innings this season, Skenes has struck out 85 batters while holding a 2.05 ERA and a stellar 0.88 WHIP. In his last three starts (28 2/3 innings), Skenes has struck out 32 batters and allowed just three runs.

While he has a tougher matchup against the Phillies, he draws them at a good time as Bryce Harper (wrist), who is on the 10-day injured list.

Cristopher Sanchez, PHI at PIT ($8.8K DK/$10.1K FD)

While Sanchez has been shaky over his last five starts, posting a 3.49 ERA with a 1.41 WHIP, he is in a prime position to get back on track facing a struggling Pirates offense.

This season, the Pirates have posted the third-highest strikeout rate against southpaws. Through 65 2/3 total innings, Sanchez has tallied 74 punchouts.

Joe Ryan, MIN vs. TOR ($10.6K DK/$9.9K FD)

Since May 1, Joe Ryan has held a 2.65 ERA with a 0.88 WHIP across 34 innings of work. During this stretch, Ryan has struck out 37 batters and served up just eight walks.

This afternoon, he will look to stay hot against the Blue Jays. This season, the Blue Jays have posted the sixth-lowest BABIP and the 15th-lowest SLG against right-handed pitching.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Ivan Herrera, C vs. Clayton Kershaw ($4.6K DK/$3K FD)

Ivan Herrera is a top catcher to target when facing Clayton Kershaw. When facing four-seamers from left-handed pitching this season (Kershaw's second-most used pitch), Herrera has generated a .848 xSLG with a .525 xwOBA.

Through 31 games this season, Herrera has posted an elite .321/.403/.557 line with six long balls.

Corey Seager, SS - TEX at Trevor Williams ($4.6K DK/$3.2K FD)

The Texas Rangers will be facing four-seam heavy pitcher Trevor Williams. When facing four-seamers from right-handed pitchers, Seager has been the most productive hitter on the team. When seeing this pitch, Seager has generated an impressive .683 xSLG with a .450 xwOBA.

Even though the two-time World Series Champion is amid a 2-for-30 slump, do not be afraid to put him in your lineup this afternoon.

Ketel Marte, 2B - ARI at Brady Singer ($5.7K DK/$3.8K FD)

Entering Saturday's contest, Marte was holding a stellar .360/.515/.840 line over his last seven games. During this stretch, Marte has gone deep four times and tallied eight RBI.

This afternoon, he will face sinker-heavy right-hander Brady Singer (42% usage). When facing sinkers from right-handed pitching, Marte has generated an incredible .791 xSLG. He is a must-play on the slate.

Others To Consider:

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Harrison Bader, OF - MIN vs. Bowden Francis ($3.2K DK/$2.8K FD)

While Bowden Francis relies heavily on his fastball (58% usage), his second-most-used pitch, his split finger, could set up Harrison Bader for a productive afternoon. When facing split fingers from righties, Bader has generated a .400 xSLG, the highest mark on the team.

This pitch has not had any success this season, posting a hefty .590 xSLG with a .413 xwOBa. While this is a risky option, Bader is a high-upside play at a very cheap salary.

Matt Wallner, OF - MIN vs. Bowden Francis ($4.3K DK/$3.1K FD)

Since returning from the IL on May 31, Matt Wallner has already launched three long balls in nine contests. Facing Francis, who sits in the fourth percentile in hard-hit rate and 11th percentile in barrel rate, puts the slugger in a prime position to stay hot in the batter's box.

While his teammate Bader should succeed against his split finger, Wallner will find it against his primary pitch. When facing fastballs from right-handed pitching this season, the 27-year-old has generated a .581 xSLG. Target him with confidence.

Wyatt Langford, OF - TEX at Trevor Williams ($4.9K DK/$3.6K FD)

Similar to Seager, the budding star is also a top Ranger to target in this matchup. When facing four-seamers from right-handed pitching, Langford has generated a strong .599 xSLG with a .414 xwOBa, which should play well against Williams, who throws this pitch 38.9% of the time.

Over his last 10 games, Langford has posted a low .575 OPS, but like his teammate, he has the perfect matchup to break out of this slump in a big way.

Others To Consider:

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. Arizona Diamondbacks at Brady Singer

Singer has held a 4.66 ERA with a 1.34 WHIP across 63 2/3 innings of work this season. Over his last five starts, the right-hander has posted a rough 6.29 ERA with a 1.54 WHIP.

The 28-year-old relies on a sinker, which has not fared well through the first two months of the season. This pitch has generated a high .441 xSLG with a .389 xwOBA. Pitching in a hitter's paradise this afternoon, the Diamondbacks could light up the scoreboard.

Favorite Combo: Marte, Suarez, Smith, Naylor

2. Minnesota Twins vs. Bowden Francis

As stated above, when highlighting the two Minnesota outfielders, Francis has allowed very hard contact this season. The 29-year-old has generated a poor 5.43 xERA with a .290 xBA, which places him in the 10th percentile in both statistics. In addition, he has generated groundballs at a low 34.3% rate, resulting in him allowing 17 long balls, the most in the AL.

His two most-used pitches, his four-seamer and split finger, have generated a .451 xSLG and a .590 xSLG, respectively.

Favorite Combo: Wallner, Bader, Lewis, Larnach

3. Texas Rangers at Trevor Williams

Williams enters this game holding a high 6.03 ERA with a 1.44 WHIP. He sits in the 20th percentile in xBA and the 46th percentile in xERA. He has generated whiffs at a low 20.4% rate and strikeouts at a modest 17.8% rate.

Williams relies primarily on his four-seamer, which has not found much success this season. Under the hood, it has generated a .308 xBA with a .469 xSLG.

Favorite Combo: Seager, Jung, Langford

Honorable Mention: St. Louis Cardinals vs. Clayton Kershaw
