MLB DFS: DraftKings, FanDuel Expert Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks For Today (4/28/25)

Wyatt Langford - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

Brandon's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Monday, 4/28/25. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Happy Monday, RotoBallers! My name is Brandon! You can find me and my work with the NHL and Soccer teams, respectively!

Tonight, we have a manageable six-game slate, and the currently live top-3 highest implied team totals are: Braves with 6.1, Los Angeles with 5.6, and New York with 5.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 4/28/2025, with the slate starting at 6:35 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Dustin May  LAD vs. MIA - DK $9.5K || FD $9.3K

The options at the mound are slim tonight, and it looks like Dustin May’s chances at sticking around in Los Angeles’s rotation are dwindling, too. The young arm is coming off a disastrous performance against the Chicago Cubs, giving up seven earned runs and 10 hits through five innings. In four appearances, May has given up 17 hits, one home run, nine walks, 12 runs, and nine earned runs, while striking out 19.

Why would anyone be interested in May tonight? Once again, the options are limited, and his matchup is arguably the best on the slate. Miami's performance over the season so far is the fourth-worst in K Percentage against right-handed pitchers. They are also bottom-10 in wOBA, wRC+, Barrel Percentage, and Contact, a combination of Z-Contact and Contact Percentage. The Dodgers pitcher isn’t throwing lights out as previously mentioned, and the metrics back it up. He is barely in the top 100 in CWS Percentage and Z-Contact Percentage.

While the combination shows he can get hitters to swing outside the zone, or swing at all, his K-BB Percentage and K Percentage are both in the bottom 80. The Marlins have made mediocre pitchers good this season. Expect May to be the next one to shine.

Will Warren NYY at BAL - DK $6.8K || FD $6.9K

Will Warren of the New York Yankees has also had a less-than-ideal start to the 2025 season. In four starts, he has given up 16 hits, two home runs, 10 walks, 11 runs, and 11 earned runs, while striking out 21 batters. The difference between Warren and May is the former's ability to generate strikeouts. Warren has a staggering Z-Contact Percentage–73.5–and an incredible CWS Percentage–31.9–with the former being the best on the slate and the latter, second-best.

The Baltimore Orioles are not an ideal team to be targeting right now with their proven dominance against right-handed pitchers. However, against capable pitchers, they have been torn apart. Considering Warren’s $6.8K salary on DraftKings and his potential to sling, he could be a sneaky option tonight.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Matt Olson - 1B, ATL vs. Ryan Feltner (DK $5.5K || FD $3.6K)

There are numerous options at the infield tonight. However, not many are as consistent as Matt Olson. The first baseman has produced four singles, one home run, four walks, six runs, and two RBIs in five appearances and 19 at-bats.

Surprisingly, he is not doing as well against right-handed pitchers to start the season. On the Atlanta Braves roster with at least five at-bats, Olson is the sixth-best in wOBA and the eighth-worst in SLG. Despite the poor averages, Olson and the Braves are a high-powered offense playing at a batter-friendly Coors Field against Ryan Feltner. Olson is expected to produce double-digit fantasy points tonight.

Brendan Donovan - 2B/SS/3B/OF, STL  vs. Nick Martinez (DK $4.3K || FD $3.2K)

Speaking of consistency. Brendan Donovan of the St. Louis Cardinals has eight hits in his last five appearances and 19 at-bats. In that timeframe, he has produced six singles, two doubles, two walks, two runs, and two RBIs.

Within the Cardinals organization, with at least five at-bats against right-handed pitchers, Donovan has the second-best wOBA–.436–and the third-best SLG–.575–. The second baseman also has a strong history against expected pitcher Nick Martinez. Donovan has produced three singles, one home run, one walk, and three RBIs in four at-bats. It would be a shock to many if he didn’t deliver tonight.

Jake Burger - 1B, TEX vs. JP Sears (DK $2.9K || FD $2.7K)

With numerous high-salaried batters on the slate, looking for the one ‘punt’ with ceiling potential is needed to make the salaries work. Enter first baseman Jake Burger. Now on his third team in five seasons and his first season with the Texas Rangers, Burger needs to find his place within the league. So far, things have been a rollercoaster. Throughout his last five games and 15 at-bats, he has managed two singles, one double, one home run, one walk, two runs, and three RBIs.

As mentioned, he has had a rollercoaster start to the season. His metrics support this as well. Against left-handed pitchers, Burger has a .243 wOBA and a .357 SLG, ninth and sixth, respectively, on the Rangers roster. Expected pitcher JP Sears is not an immediate threat; however, he is not terrible either. If Burger can replicate his performance from the last two nights, he will reach value.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Wyatt Langford - OF, TEX vs. JP Sears (DK $5K || FD $3.6K)

Another consistent batter is outfielder Wyatt Langford of the Texas Rangers. Langford, in his last five games and 20 at-bats, has accumulated 11 singles, three doubles, two home runs, two walks, three runs, and three RBIs.

Despite being a southpaw, Langford has managed reasonably well to start the season against left-handed pitchers. For the Rangers, he has the second-best wOBA–.521–and the best SLG–.765–. Excluding splits, he has the club’s best xwOBA, a .418. With plenty of options and higher salaries, Langford enters value territory.

Lars Nootbaar - OF, STL vs. Nick Martinez (DK $4.6K || FD $3.3K)

Another left-handed hitter from the St. Louis Cardinals is outfielder Lars Nootbaar. Over his last five appearances and 20 at-bats, he has generated six singles, one double, one home run, five walks, one stolen base, five runs, and six RBIs.

Within the Cardinals organization, Nootbaar has the fourth-best wOBA–.383–and the sixth-best SLG, .443. He has matched up against Martinez in two at-bats. He did not produce in either of them. Nootbaar’s salary is climbing, and it doesn’t help that he has a premium matchup tonight. Nevertheless, he is expected to produce enough to reach value.

Gavin Lux - 2B/OF, CIN vs. Andre Pallante (DK $3.7K || FD $3.1K)

Gavin Lux is in fine form himself. He has generated seven singles, one home run, four walks, six runs, and four RBIs in his last five outings and 18 at-bats. Lux is one of many batters for the Reds that are swinging lights out, too, and the metrics show it. The outfielder has the fourth-best wOBA–.416–and the fifth-best SLG, .485, against right-handed pitchers this season.

Expected pitcher Andre Pallante is not doing well either. This season, he ranks as a bottom-20 pitcher in K Percentage, O-swing percentage, and K-BB Percentage. He is also a bottom-50 pitcher in CSW Percentage. For only $3.7K on DraftKings, Lux will have every opportunity to reach value in this optimal matchup.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

DraftKings/FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

  • Atlanta Braves vs. Ryan Feltner

If Coors Field is on the slate, there is an unspoken rule that those teams must be top stacks. Tonight is no different with the Atlanta Braves. As previously mentioned, Feltner is a bottom-60 pitcher to start the season, and his control levels are abysmal. Even with his 31 percent O-Swing and 87.2 percent Z-Contact, he still struggles to catch batters. Going up against a powerhouse Braves will not bode well for Feltner, despite the former’s poor plate presence. Stack Atlanta and enjoy your night.

Favorite Combo: Ozuna, White, Riley, Albies

Another club that swings for the moon but struggles striking out is the New York Yankees. After a strong start to their season, they have torpedoed their early success. However, they are coming off back-to-back wins against Toronto, outscoring the Blue Jays 16-3. Tomoyuki Sugano is by far the worst expected pitcher on the slate. Out of all pitchers to throw at least five innings this season, he has the third-worst K Percentage. He is also bottom-30 or worse in: SIERA, Z-Contact Percentage, K-BB Percentage, and CWS Percentage. If not for Coors Field being on the slate, the Yankees would have easily been the top stack.

Favorite Combo: Grisham, Judge, Rice, Goldschmidt

  • Cincinnati Reds vs. Andre Pallante

The final stack and the least owned of the three is the Cincinnati Reds. Before their series sweep of the Pirates, the Reds had only scored five or more runs three times in 13 games. Since then, they have scored five or more runs in 11 of their last 15 games. That includes their impressive 24-2 win against the Baltimore Orioles. The club’s metrics will not reflect their rise in form when looking at season averages. However, looking at their last 15, they are popping off the charts. Similar to Sugano, Pallante is also a bottom-30 pitcher for the most part. He is bottom-30 or worse in K Percentage, O-Swing Percentage, and K-BB Percentage. The Reds are expected to kick this series off with a bang, playing in a hitter-friendly Great American Ball Park.

Favorite Combo: Cruz, Hays, Lux, Marte
