Daniil Tarasov Starts Against Rangers Sunday
Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Daniil Tarasov will guard the crease in Sunday's game against the New York Rangers. This matchup has a special meaning for Tarasov, who recorded his first career shutout at Madison Square Garden against the Rangers in January. He stopped all 26 shots faced on Jan. 18 but suffered a 1-0 shootout loss. Tarasov has won his last two starts, improving his record to 6-7-2. He has allowed 3.58 goals with a .881 save percentage. The Russian netminder is sporting underwhelming numbers and has never won three games on the bounce in the NHL, which makes Tarasov a risky pick for fantasy managers on Sunday.
