ANALYSIS: Managers with Kareem Hunt on their rosters just breathed a huge sigh of relief as Isiah Pacheco was just ruled out of Sunday's matchup against the Carolina Panthers and their NFL-worst run defense.
#Chiefs coach Andy Reid told reporters that Isiah Pacheco and Charles Omenihu won’t play this week against the #Panthers.
Pacheco is healthy enough to go, but based on the coaches and trainers recommendation, with a short week coming up, he’ll wait.

It turns out the Chiefs want Pacheco fresh for next Thursday's game against the Raiders and will rest him one more week, which leaves Kareem Hunt as the top back for KC's matchup against the lowly Panthers. Hunt has been playing 60% of the snaps for the Chiefs since being signed in Week 3 after Pacheco went down. He has at least 14 rushing attempts in every game that he has appeared in this season.
Managers can fire up Hunt one more time and hope for a spike week as this is one of the best matchups for running backs in the league and it could be a very positive game script for Hunt as the Chiefs are heavy favorites who may lean on Hunt to run the ball and the clock if they get up big.
