Khalil Herbert is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for running backs. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 12 of the 2024 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: Khalil Herbert did not record a touch in Week 11 as the Cincinnati Bengals lost 34-27 to the Los Angeles Chargers. Chase Brown handled the majority of the backfield work and remains the starter. However, Herbert now has the RB2 role and gains value as a handcuff after Zack Moss was placed on injured reserve with a neck injury.

The Virginia Tech alum was traded to the Bengals earlier this season and could see an increased role if Brown ever missed time. He will likely play a secondary role for now, but his upside as the potential starter makes him a solid stash in deeper leagues.
A change of scenery might benefit the 26-year-old, but his usage will be worth monitoring in the coming weeks. Managers in shallower leagues can pass for now, but those in deeper formats should consider adding Herbert. If you have bench space, he is worth holding in case of an opportunity in this high-powered Bengals offense.
